Overall it was a comfortable and great stay.
Pros:

The staff was excellent. The breakfast was great, as usual. Except for certain patches on the carpet in public areas, the Hotel was very clean. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness of the staircase which people do not usually access.

Cons:

In our room, it appeared that at one point there might have been a leak in the room upstairs that was repaired. However, the ceiling of the bathroom was not repainted leaving flaky paint on the ceiling.

Hampton Inn Daniel Island close to perfect!
Pros:

This location was close to most everything on Daniel Island. the hotel was clean, quiet, the staff was awesome. One of the more friendly hotel staffs I've dealt with. An it was everyone, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff everyone was amazing. I would highly recommend this location and will return without hesitation.

Cons:

As an honors member I would be grateful to get credit for stays booked on an alternate site.

Wonderful stay on Daniel Island

LIVE BUGS, dirty breakfast area, and dirty rooms

Run away from this hotel!!! After finding two very live bugs on our beds, where we had just slept we were digsuted! The AC unit was extremeley loud, made it hard to sleep. The shower handle had two settings because it was broken, freezing or scalding. The staff working the breakfast, dropped tongs used for cheese, left them on the floor for a good minute, then placed them back on the counter for guests to use! I asked him if they were on the floor, he said yeah - like it was not a big deal!
With the price we paid for the room, and an avid traveler, this is not the standard we expected from a Hampton Inn. I did ask for the GM to contact me, the front desk staff was mortified when I was speaking with her and said someone would call me. It has been 3 days with no response. I guess I will take this to corporate.
The lobby was very clean, but the kitchen/food service area and the rooms, disgusting.

A great place to stay that is just outside of Mt Pleasant and Charleston
Pros:

It was very quiet even with a busy road behind us. And, what was very important to me was the comfortable beds. Also the little details of 3 hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes. Most hotels are not doing that. The personnel were very friendly. They helped with suggestions for the closest restaurant because we were tired

My wife and I stayed here two nights, as part of our 50th Anniversary celebration. We were very impressed by the location, which, in addition to being surrounded by a lot of beautiful trees and landscaping, it is in a very quiet location, away from any highway or industrial noises. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays as well.

The staff was very welcoming and polite when we arrived. Kyla was at the front desk when we arrived, and she couldn’t have been more pleasant to work with. My hat is off to the management of this property for having someone like her in their employ.

Kyla completed the check-in process quickly and painlessly, and she truly is an asset to this hotel! She also texted me within 30 minutes of checking in, to make sure that everything about our room was satisfactory to us. What a refreshing change it is to run across someone that still believes in customer service/satisfaction!

Our room smelled fresh and was exceptional clean. Although this isn’t a new property, it’s obvious that it’s cared for and cleaned the way all hotels should be. The A/C worked flawlessly and was not controlled by motion sensors or temperature limiting thermostats that prevent you from being able to sleep comfortably. I want to thank management for allowing the guests to control the temperature in their rooms, since they paid the asking price for the room…. That’s the way it should be! I wish all the hotels had to go back to using traditional thermostats the way your property does. Thank you for two, comfortable nights sleep!

We did eat breakfast at this hotel, which consisted of the usual Hampton Inn fare… Scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, etc. We have no complaints with the quality of the food.

Once again, my wife and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with our stay here. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in this area!
