My experience with the front desk was fabulous. Wanda Mesfin was extremely helpful. She was professional full of information and suggestions about where to eat and how to get there.
The Ven is a small, lovely hotel with a very attentive staff. It is in an ideal location for those wanting to be near Du Pont Circle and its wonderful eateries and bookstores. But you can walk pretty much anywhere from the Ven. They were undergoing renovations during our stay in January, but we were never bothered. And during the rare occasions when the elevator stopped on a floor under construction, the workers could not have been more courteous. Don’t miss the Phillips Collection around the corner. And their cafe has the best bread and salads in the area. Great spot.
I checked in quite late, was after 10 pm but although I am Titanium Elite and there were room upgrades available I was not given an upgrade. When we got to the room it was quite cold so I turned up the temperature but to no avail. The room remained cold and got a bit colder after a while. There was no one on staff at that point to fix the thermostat so they brought us blankets. By the time they offered to move us, I was already sleeping so my guest did not want to wake me. Upon waking the room was still super cold and we had to shower and the water was varying temperatures. It did not stay constantly hot or cold. You did get a few things right. I did like the friendship bracelets, the rose and eucalyptus scented fragrance bags and the hot chocolate and cookies on the way out was a nice touch. I would say my overall stay was not good and I would not stay again based on those other major factors. Even though I am a tried and true Marriott girl this had me rethinking that loyalty for sure!
Very professional guy, flexible, calm…. The service is sufficient and that is why I return again to this hotel. Hotel location is perfect. Well done guys!
The staff at the hotel was so nice to me. I was traveling alone which made me easy to overlook or ignore. The staff really saw me! Especially the restaurant/bar staff. They were so nice to me.
Loved staying at the hotel. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We had to stay one more night because of the snowstorm and they were all nice and understanding. Big thank you for Camilo for his kindness!
Amarri is woooonderful! She was so friendly

Great location, great stuff and great attitude
there was no detailed breakdown of the items purchased by the pool, only a lump sum. I believe I may have been overcharged.
The way the lobby looked
The bed sheets and pillows were dirty the staff was rude and acted like I wasn’t supposed to be there I think it was racially motivated .
We really liked the location. Very close to some fun restaurant, CVS and the Metro. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Jazz the manager was really great to deal with. The struggles we had were nothing compared to to the comfort and attentiveness of this hotel.
The airco didn’t work and after it was “fixed” it still wasn’t super cool in the room. We had a power outage that forced us to leave the hotel because the room was unbearably hot. We returned by noon time and there still wasn’t electricity to we went downtown. We came back at night and the power was back but the airco did not work. The rooftop pool was very small and hard to get out of. The last step was way too large.
I did like the location. It was close to the metro. All the staff were very nice and courteous
I didn't like that the roof top pool was unavailable to children after 5 pm. It is a location where people are out touring all day and come back for a relaxing dip into the pool with their children before or after dinner. I asked if another pool was available and there wasn't. It was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel

The art Gallery was a beautiful lil treat, bed was so comfortable we sleep through 2 nights of plans and weren’t mad at all, 12 PM checkout time is a blessing and a lifesaver I hope y’all never change it, Eli at the front was mad welcoming and transparent about parking: explained the price for valet and also let me know that there is often street parking which saved me $210 in parking for the UHaul van we used to get down here. Complimentary coffee was a great way to start my day, the ambiance in the hotel was exactly what we needed for an anniversary trip. Next time we’re in DC we know where to go
