The staff were helpful
Old, in need of a refurbishment. In room, no usb terminals, no fridge, coffee maker didn’t work, shower so strong blew curtain out & soaked the floor/walls, outlets sparked when putting plug in, could clearly hear all outside noises all night, very loud at 1:30 in morning.
Easy check-in. Served full dinner menu at bar (restaurant itself was only open for breakfast). The bartender was fantastic. The whole experience was an A+.
Limited parking & had to pay $14.95 per day.
Bed was comfortable
Hotel dated and run down
No fridge in room , no USB plug ,bed base had no protect on the corner and cut my leg open , bathroom squashed
Not as advertised
I've stayed at lower end hotels with more and better amenities. My room had no refrigerator nor microwave. I'd expect a Hilton hotel to offer those 2 things at no additional charge. The hotel seems to have only 1 luggage cart available. Again, I've stayed at lower end hotels with multiple luggage carts. I'm not saying I won't stay at Hilton Hotel in the future but I will NOT stay at the DoubleTree in downtown Montgomery a second time.
Had to book a same day. Arrived around 8 and found a fenced parking lot with no parking spots. Cars double-parked. Called management and was told to go to the lower level. This was a well-lit dungeon, no other cars parked there, construction materials stacked up so no wonder. Called management again and they would not cancel my reservation. Lost my business for good. Went down the road and got a decent room at another motel. Just wanted to warn anyone before they decide to make same mistake I did.
My room was supposed to have a crib, I booked it with a crib request and called to verify it a few weeks out. Both times I was told the crib would be there. Now during check-in I'm being told the entire hotel has only one crib and it was already taken. There was no attempt to remedy the issue in anyway, like idk having more than one single crib for an entire hotel
Do NOT stay here. My family and I checked into this hotel this past Sunday around 12:30 am and walked into the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in.
Upon entering the room, we found trash on the floor of the bedroom, a wad of black hair in the bedroom trash can, mildew on the bedroom curtains, and a pink makeup stain on one of the bedsheets.
As for the bathroom…there were dirty tissues in the trash can, a used towel on the floor, a used hand rag on the bathroom counter, and hair still on the countertop as well.
We sent the photos to the lady who checked us in downstairs and she offered to move us to a different room. We declined since it was already 1am and had unpacked our belongings after driving for 17hrs. She said that she would inform the manager in the morning and get back to us about the dirty room.
We were never contacted back from the manager, so we submitted our complaint to the Hilton hotels feedback form online. We also never heard back from Hilton regarding our online submission so we called a made an official complaint about an hour ago against the manager.
Cobwebs in the room. Curtains are torn and ripped to shreds.
I was scared to get in the bed or sit on the sofa.
The place is really run-down, with old, worn-out furniture. The bathroom door is swollen from water damage and the bottom is chipped and peeling. The shower curtain is just fabric, no plastic liner, so the bathroom floods every time you shower. The AC doesn’t work in heating mode, it just makes noise and blows cold air. It’s cold outside, so the room is basically a freezer. There are no extra blankets in the closet. The nightstand drawer keeps sliding open on its own; I had to jam a piece of paper in it to keep it closed. There’s a desk but no chair. The bed base is bigger than the mattress, and I’ve smashed my shins several times because it sticks out. And to top it all off, the key system doesn’t work, you have to track down someone from the hotel to let you in every single time you leave the room. Parking is limited, and the basement option looks like something straight out of a mafia movie. If you ever get the chance to stay at this hotel, do yourself a favor and don’t.
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a hellhole
The location was great and the hotel was very clean.
I know it's a little thing, but I didn't get a cookie that you guys are famous for. Also, the shower was a mess, the curtain wouldn't stay where it needed to, so it got water all over the bathroom floor. The water pressure was really hard, but I understand that you may not be able to fix that. Last complaint would be breakfast, I did not know I needed to pay for it, and no one was there to tell me. I started eating and as I was halfway done an employee told me I needed to pay $21 for the breakfast. If I would have known it was that expensive, I would not have eaten here. I feel like if you're going to charge people for breakfast there needs to be an employee there letting people know before they are halfway done eating. The price vs what I got was very poor, I've had nicer breakfasts at hotels with the cheap free breakfast. Overall, it was a rather disappointing stay.
