The overall hotel experience was perfect. Great rooms, beautiful location. I was there for a conference and every detail was excellent, especially the banquet food. Lloyd at the front desk was the best ever!
Lovely staff, beautiful grounds and common areas.
A bit remote so without a taxi/car you do not have many options around there.
Rooms are clean and spacious.
Dining for Vegans is very limited even the snack shop had very few options so bring your own snacks, (nuts, bread etc)
Picturesque location nestled in the hills of west Austin. At check in, front desk staff esp the manager along with Paul went above and beyond our expectations. Rooms are spacious and immaculate, bed is very comfortable and entire common areas are lavished with modern furniture. This hotel is a very well maintained. We’re very pleased and happy we chose to spend our wedding anniversary at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin area. Pleasantly surprised with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Sincerely grateful to the manager and Paul for taking good care of us. First class service overall! We’ll definitely be back!
I had a wonderful, deeply relaxing stay at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, and the spa experience alone makes this resort worth visiting.
The spa amenities are excellent and thoughtfully designed for actual relaxation. There’s a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, hot tub, ladies-only relaxation room, co-ed relaxation room, and a café. Before my service, there were cucumber water, snacks, and tea available in the waiting area, which was a really nice touch. Cell phones are not allowed in the spa, which I loved — you’re truly encouraged to disconnect and relax.
I booked an 80-minute massage with Diana, and she did a spectacular job. I dozed off a few times and honestly forgot where I was — that’s success to me. The spa also has well-appointed changing rooms and showers, with robes, towels, slippers, and lockers provided, so everything feels seamless and easy. There’s also a small retail area, and I picked up a Voluspa candle that smelled absolutely delightful — I can’t wait to light it at home to recreate that spa atmosphere.
As an Omni Select member, Wi-Fi was complimentary and I received two drink tickets, which I used at Velvet Joe’s. They serve coffee and tea, and it was a great little perk to enjoy during the stay.
I stayed in a King room facing the golf course and pool, and the view was incredibly serene. The grounds are beautifully maintained and well manicured. It was cold (around 30–40 degrees on 1/31/26), so no one was outside, but I’d love to come back when it’s warm and actually sit out there and take it all in — it feels like the kind of place meant for lingering.
I didn’t try the restaurants, but I did order room service. I had the roasted chicken pizza (7/10 — solid) and the chocolate chip cookies (5/10 — unfortunately they were quite hard). The dessert options were limited to cookies and a banana split, so I’d love to see at least one more option added, like a bread pudding or chocolate cake.
The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were very soft. I had a bit of trouble staying asleep until I stacked both pillows, which helped.
Overall, I’d give the resort a 9/10. The staff was great, the spa was exceptional, and the property is peaceful and beautiful. I’d absolutely come back — next time for at least two nights to really get the full experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing resort stay in the Austin area.
Our family traveled to Austin for a family birthday celebration and stayed at The Omni. We were greeted by friendly valets and taken care of by the front desk. We had delicious hamburgers at Crenshaw’s, fantastic steaks at Bob’s and delicious breakfasts at Texas Spice. Our room was in tip top shape, had a picturesque view and was warm and comfortable. This is a wonderful place to stay when in Austin!
The total experience was wonderful. Giant hotel campus containing a country club with a wonderfully maintained golf course. The entire grounds of the hotel were clean, organized, and welcoming above all else. There was no issue I had with any of the hotel or the grounds I walked. It was a completely positive experience that seemed to cater to any demographic that enjoyed relaxing in a fully accommodating environment. Any request made was fulfilled quickly and efficiently. We hope to stay here as often as we can
this was a daughter/mom trip and thoroughly enjoyed the Mokara Spa...highly recommend. We were not able to use the pools due to extreme freezing temps, but will definitely be back to enjoy all the outdoor amenities. Highly recommend the Omni Barton Creek...
We traveled from Michigan hoping to escape the cold.
Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pool/Hot tub ⭐️⭐️
Our room was quiet and very clean. All staff we encountered were excellent. The gym was huge. Breakfast buffet was amazing!
I had 2 young teens with me, we had hoped to enjoy the pool/ hot tub, we were extremely disappointed to find that the infinity pool and hot tub are gated with a sign adults only.
There are 2 other pools in same area for families. We were on a family trip and had really hoped to enjoy the hot tub together as the weather ranged from 50-70 during our end of Dec stay.
I would caution sun seekers from staying here as the height of the main building blocked all
Of the sun from the pool areas by 2:30-3pm each day.
We would not stay here again, as the hotel didn’t meet our ideals.
It is a beautiful hotel, in a great area, just not what we prefer for amenities.
Scenic view
Too Expensive compared to other resorts with not as many activities
My wife and I went to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We were extremely pleased with service and hospitality that we received from the entire staff. We will continue to stay at Omni facilities for future events.
Every staff member we interacted with treated us like a VIP. The location and all of the restaurants have excellent food and drinks. You cannot go wrong with a stay here.
The shower was dangerous. Slippery when wet, the possibility of a fall was high. Provide a rubber mat
Disappointed. Spa Amenities need renovating, especially the hot tub, it had cracked and missing tiles and looks dirty. Steam room, sauna, cold plunge tub (fits one person) and hot tub are in a very small space and area is not very pretty for how expensive the resort fees and services are. Overpriced massages, for average experience. Indoor pool is extremely neglected. Indoor pool locker rooms were closed for renovation, but fitness center front desk did NOT let us know, so we had to walk in our towels through the gym and up the stairs into the lobby to get to the other locker rooms.
If you're looking for a cozy, fun Christmas getaway (or in our case, staycation) you can't do any better than treating yourself to a weekend at Barton Creek Omni.
Great resort needs a little bit of work front desk is really awesome. Clearly this must be the time of year when most people aren’t visiting. As a patriotic American, I find it very offensive that all the holiday decorations are up, but the Christmas tree is definitely not lit up, this is no accident. It’s not because electricity isn’t going to that tree. Clearly the owners are absentee. They have missed the mark on this one.
In beverages and food, because it was pretty standard.
In room or overall, room doesn't have good connectors for laptops, tv is not able to connect as a monitor
Such an amazing hotel and resort. The staff is exceptional and the rooms/beds are super comfortable. The food is great and the amenities are top notch.
