Der elektronische Zimmerschlüssel hat ein paar Mal nicht funktioniert und musste neu erstellt werden. Am Frühstücksbuffet enthielten sowohl der Salz- wie der Pfefferbehälter Salz, so dass meine Rühreier etwas versalzen waren...

Tram nightmares
Pros:

Positives: quaint rooms that are clean. The family rooms are very spacious. Ample breakfast ‘typical’ hotel style.
Our room was ready when we arrived.
On the third floor is a room with irons set up and extra supplies (toilet paper, towels).
I think I read there were USB ports but we couldn’t find them. We love to walk, so everything Munich City offers was a short 15 minute walk away. Hairdryers supplied and unlike the UK, PowerPoints in the bathroom.
Complimentary water in the bar fridge.

Negatives: as mentioned by others the bath/shower that could be a hazard as it’s hard to get in and out of without taking great care.

We had room 114, on the street side. THE NOISE. More people should have made a big deal about this.

This two week mother daughter trip included The Royal Bath Hotel, next to the railway. No issues. The Clermont at Charing Cross, a part of the railway and again no problems. So my love of quaint and quirky hotels backfired.

I booked this hotel because my now 25 year old daughter and I stayed here 16 years ago.

I have been to Munich frequently, my last visit in 2019. I also speak and read a little German. I am a well travelled Australian and visit the UK and Europe annually.

To the hotel’s credit they offered us a courtyard room, across the hall from 114, a lovely letter with the offer was on the coffee table. We happily moved our belongings to room 115. Guess what? Still too noisy. It’s 5:30am and I’ve been up for hours.

I would love it if others mentioned which rooms were quiet.

I would also urge people to request a higher floor as I can hear the footsteps of the room above.

800euro for three nights (including breakfast) is way too much when a good sleep is not a given.

Being picky the towels are tiny if you’re used to ‘better’ hotels. But they were fine for us.

The hotel is near the main station which is presently being rebuilt (like most of Munich) so not the easiest place to drive too. We decided to meet relatives rather than take up their offer to pick us up.

We are here to see elderly relatives and enjoy the sights, the hotel has not impacted our trip. But our future trips will not include any hotel on a Munich tram line.

Excellent for a short stay

The room was immaculate spotless fantastic thanks to the cleaning staff. Plenty of hangers a cold fridge more than enough space in the room when we were there. The foyer was welcoming.
We didnt eat there so cant comment on breakfast.
Access to lockers for the day great and easy to use.
I found all staff were v friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel.
Pros:

The lobby was so cool; the staff so helpful; and the beds so stately.

Cons:

The local area is meh. It has good police presence and is close to Radius, which is good.
I also wish the breakfast was more affordable.
