A week away not great
Pros:

The location was great and the hotel was tidy

Cons:

The room air conditioning was terrible and it was boiling In the room at night. For a five star hotel the facilities were disappointing the gym was outdated with old equipment and no pool sauna or steam room. I don't really understand how it was classed as a five star you literally get nothing with your room and the minibar was stupidly expensive. In future I don't think we would stay here again it just didn't meet our expectations and a mile off a Hilton in my opinion.

The beds were also not the best of comfort.

Enjoyed the stay as the room was great and the hotel is well placed for Manchester City centre being a short walk away.
Pros:

Great location, room was clean and spacious with a view of the river.

Cons:

The building itself looks like an office block with little character. For a 5 star hotel the lobby was little better than a premier inn.
