Hotel Midmost by Majestic Hotel Group

Well location it’s perfect but there’s are other hotels in the area better priced with the same location, we arrived at around 1pm got told the room wasn’t ready, fair enough but during our three day stay others arrived earlier with kids and cases and larger groups and all checked into room ahead of the 3pm.
We went to the roof terrace to wait for our room … photos make it look a lot better, floor slabs uneven service poor …. Asked for hot water convinced it was from the hot tap, ice coffee 6 cubes of ice and a cup of black espresso . Not good and they wanted to charge me for the privilege of this mess. Breakfast if you like a cooked breakfast stone cold and a toaster that pretends to toast this is your kind of breakfast… cold buffet was good rest very poor. Two days the roof terrace was shut because no staff, the main entrance door was broken and the young receptionist short red nails face of importance who thought she was really posh shouted at my daughter because of her faulty door and my daughter not holding the handle great reception skills …. Get the door fixed ASAP or restrict access… room was ok but tight on the coffee and milk, mini bar scam as usual… no bottled water and when we arrived and asked for a cup I got told I could have my tea out of a glass provided … thank you so much for that outstanding hospitality. The only good thing about this hotel is Cuban the barman he is normal nice friendly and helpful in the non atmospheric Midmost hotel the rest are either poor attitudes or sitting on phones in rooms like the cleaner. Pretending to clean legs dropped over the chair …. Get the hallway carpet cleaned. An over priced experience …. Should have stayed at the Radisson this hotel was stunning when we went for lunch .

We had stayed at Hotel Midmost on a previous visit to Barcelona and had a great visit, it was the obvious choice to stay there again. It is a wonderful boutique hotel in a great location. The rooms are well appointed; however, a bit on the small size, not really an issue, but be aware. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location is a quick walk to the metro, and short stroll to La Rambla; it is close enough to be easy to access, but far enough not to be too noisy or busy at night. There is a nice shopping plaza about a 15 minute walk away. There are small shops and food outlets close by. The star of the show is the breakfast buffet available in the mornings; a wide selection of options is available.

Unfortunately, our stay was negatively affected by a very poor and unprofessional front desk experience with a staff member named Maelenn, in addition to unresolved room issues.

We left the room at 1:30 PM with the “Please clean the room” sign clearly placed. When we returned, the room was not cleaned, and the sign had been changed to “Do Not Disturb” without our knowledge.

At reception, Maelenn first said housekeeping could come shortly, then after making us wait over 30 minutes, she claimed “no cleaning today”, as if we had already been informed — which is not true.

Her attitude was extremely bad: dismissive, mocking, and defensive. She laughed while we were explaining the issue and insisted staff could not have touched the sign, instead of apologizing or offering any solution.

On top of that, the bathroom ventilation fan does not work, causing very high humidity, and we noticed insects in the bathroom, which makes the lack of cleaning even more unacceptable.

There was no apology, no effort to help, and no basic respect shown. A simple issue was made far worse due to her unprofessional behavior and poor customer service.

Overall , our stay was very pleasant. The staff are exceptionally friendly, the hotel felt safe, good breakfast and excellent location.

Room is clean and nice feel. Convenient to shop or dine in the neighborhood. I Love the proximity to the subway stations!

It’s a wonderful hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the city, and we were able to see Barcelona very efficiently. All the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfast was very delicious. The room was clean, comfortable, and tidied up every day. Coming back to the hotel felt just like returning home. We were deeply touched by the surprise they prepared for my son’s birthday. Thanks to this hotel, our trip was truly amazing. Thank you so much!

As soon as we walked into this hotel we were greeted by the AMAZING staff!! You couldn’t get a better location in Barcelona. The rooms were very comfortable and traditional. We also had a room with a balcony. I like my 5 star hotels but definitely would return to this hotel again!!

The hotel was in a central location and walkable to popular areas. The train line was very close. Hotel was very clean and a comfortable bed. Check the size of the room you wish to be in as some are quiet small rooms. It has a lift so it was accessible. A very small step at the front when entering. Lots of breakfast options in close proximity.

Location was great! Room was spacious, breakfast was pretty good! Pool lounge was adorable. Not a bartender out there that often but that was okay!

The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy the city. It’s a lovely classical design hotel outside and ‘boutique’ style interior. A open foyer, marble staircase such a welcome. We were greeted by a lovely lady lady that helped with our check in, information about the hotel & history of it, the city, etc. We had a lovely room, beautifully bed, pillows and laid out wonderfully. A coffee machine, bottles of mineral water, snacks, etc. I could go on! Bathroom spot less, dressing gown, slippers. Mini bar, etc.
The roof terrace is amazing, sun beds, an infinity pool, a bar and seating area to eat. The pizzas are fantastic, service brilliant and all over looking the city! The library down in the basement - where breakfast is also served, is light open and peaceful, a lovely setting. The breakfast is wonderful, great choice and quality, loved it. Cannot fault the hotel and the staff are so helpful. Ideal for a city break. Thank you all.

The rooms were serviced every day, the staff was very accommodating, courteous, and approachable. WiFi and AC were excellent

I Like the atmosphere of the property, decor, the stainless steel small pool on the roof, the lounge chairs there. The Staff were all very nice.

I was dissapointed in the small refrigerator in the room which absolutely didn't cool AT ALL. They need to replace them. I stayed here last year and it was the same. This is not an expenisve fix and makes me perhaps reconsider staying there again.

Convenient spot with transport, restaurants and shopping close by

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Midmost. The room was beautifully decorated, with an incredible balcony looking out onto Barcelona. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, a big plus! The common spaces were simply WOW. The rooftop with its bar, sun loungers and pool is stunning; a great spot to unwind away from the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Lovely hotel, with a good, central, location. The bed was super comfortable. The only thing that could be improved on is the the hotel needed a bit of maintenance here and there, small things really - the shower riser adjuster was broken and in the second room we had booked the toilet seat was loose. Would still recommend overall.

A four night stay, room was a good size and comfortable. I personally found the bedding a bit hard, but I like a softer mattress. Breakfast was good and consistent allowing us to fill up for a day of sightseeing. Room was clean and tidied every day. Air conditioning was quiet and worked well.

The hotel itself is well positioned, being very close to las ramblas. Our room was on the first floor and we had no noise problems. It's close to the metro and the main tour bus stops at place de catalunya.it is also ideal if you are keen to walk with the gothic quarter very nearby. The Sagrada Familia is a 45 minute walk, but it's very flat and an enjoyable trek through friendly neighbourhoods.

The *pool" is small, but we went to the terrace on the roof a couple of times and used the pool to cool down.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for couples.
