Good visit
Pros:

It was a great experience. The only thing was, I checked in online the day before with a room on the 14th floor only to get there and the room was given to someone else. I called and let them know it was going to be a late check in because our flight was coming in late. We ended up on the 11th floor which was fine but no communication was done to make me aware of the change until we showed up which was kind of frustrating. Other than that it was good.

Accommodating and clean!
Pros:

We lived that our dog was very welcome and he even got a little goodie bag. We also really enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel. Parking was also very easy to walk to.

Cons:

One of our keys didn't work and made the elevator difficult to use but other than that nothing.

The people there were great
Pros:

The personal aspect of dealing with the employees was great. The valet warned me of weather conditions I was unaware of. The reception area gave me great advice. The dining room waitresses were very attentive.

Great service from the Host Hotel
Pros:

The Whitney Peak Hotel in Reno was the place to be when I attended a good friend's daughter's wedding. The hotel front desk was particularly helpful during my stay. The hotel is a non-gambling hotel -- exactly what I wanted.

10 out of 10, I will stay here again!
Pros:

For my first time staying in Reno the Whitney Peak Hotel was absolutely the best choice I made. The hotel may not look like much from the outside, however, the inside is beyond amazing! I was even upgraded to a suite free of charge. I originally booked my hotel stay for business, but knowing how hospitable the staff were I most definitely will be back. Thank you so much!

Love this Hotel!
Pros:

We loved that we could bring our doggies as they are part of our family! The staff is wonderful, even providing you with a goodie bag for each pet. The rooms were beautiful, we stayed up on the hospitality level and thoroughly enjoyed the evening happy hour and morning coffee/snacks. The location was perfect, and the rooms were modern and clean.

Cons:

There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property! Everything was great! I will mention that they do have events that can be a bit loud. If you are concerned about that, just make sure you are above the fourth floor and you won’t hear it.

For the short time that we were there, it was not last pleasant. I didn’t feel welcome.
Pros:

The staff not friendly!!! I pay for continental breakfast didn’t receive the passes. The food is very bad in the service. Terrible. I would not come back to the place anymore for the price. It was ridiculous.

Cons:

The location and the day that we check out, we had a walk like three blocks for a parking lot with our luggage. They didn’t offer the shuttle.

Wedding Weekend
Pros:

We booked a room block at Whitney Peak with Jim for our daughter’s wedding, and from our very first meeting, he was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. We had always been loyal to another hotel brand and actually visited them first, but we didn’t feel nearly as comfortable there as we did at Whitney Peak.
Of course the weekend she chose ended up being a very busy weekend in Reno with several large events in town, and when we needed to add additional rooms, the Whitney Peak team was accommodating and flexible. Our guests were very happy with their rooms and the hotel staff was wonderful throughout the entire weekend.
Originally, we were hosting the wedding reception at a different venue, but about eight weeks before the wedding, they informed us they could no longer accommodate what had been agreed upon. We had to quickly pivot and decided to host both the welcome party and reception at the Whitney Peak
Working with Kelly during this transition was seamless. She was responsive, answered every question promptly, coordinated menu changes with the chef, and handled our daughter’s food allergy with care and ease. Given the short notice, we were especially grateful for how smoothly everything came together. Both Kelly and Jim were consistently responsive via email, text, and phone.
The food was excellent, and the wait staff did an amazing job during the event.
There were a few details we had discussed beforehand that didn’t go exactly as planned, and we had some follow-up conversations afterward. In hindsight, I believe that if we had kept our wedding planner on-site for the entire event instead of having her leave at dinner, many of those issues would have been addressed in real time. Every wedding is a learning experience—by my fourth child’s wedding, I’ll be a pro!
At the end of the day, the Whitney Peak team, the food, and the accommodations were all fantastic. I would absolutely recommend them for any event or hotel stay.

Location good, room and restaurant issues.
Pros:

Great location near the National Bowling Stadium. However, we found the room to be unusually cold, windows allowed outside temperature to enter room. It was not obvious how to adjust the thermostat accordingly. We found the restaurant chairs quite uncomfortable, but to your credit, another cushioned chair was made available.

Loved it!
Pros:

My only negative was the pillows. I prefer a firmer pillow and bed but that is just personal. Other than that, the stay was great! Location to bowling stadium was awesome. Great place to stay so you don’t have all the casino
Riffraff to walk through. Restaurant/ bar has a great atmosphere. Everyone was super friendly as well.

Whitney Peaks
Pros:

It was okay, clean, good location. Gym was the same at all Hilton properties. They had rock climbing, negatives was price. Bottle water which is free at all other Hilton properties was $5 and if you walked 29 feet across the street they were $1. Food was way overpriced for quality, would recommend eating at one of ten casinos next door as it is cheaper and way better
