Nice hotel, great location- Will definitely stay here again!
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at Whitney Peak Hotel Reno. The location is excellent making it easy to walk around downtown attractions with easy access to the Reno Arch, Truckee, Riverwalk, casinos, restaurants, the National Automobile Museum and entertainment venues. It's right next to the iconic "Reno the Biggest Little City in the World" sign. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlight of my stay was the access executive lounge. We don't see those anymore here in the US, but the hotel still has it!
It was a great added perk for having a Diamond Status with Hilton! They offer light snacks, and refreshments, and happy hour champagne, wine, beers- which made the experience more enjoyable. The hotel also has the world's tallest artificial climbing wall attached to the building. If you feel adventurous, it's definitely something cool to do while there. The on-site restaurant is also good, we enjoyed our dinner there. A fantastic stay overall and a hotel I would definitely return to when in Reno.

Overall, an enjoyable stay
Pros:

Comfortable bed, OK location, modest gym, very good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Good to see fire evacuees being taken in.

Cons:

No pool, couldn’t adjust AC level, card machine at reception inconsistent (for a short time).

Quick stop in Reno
Pros:

Great hotel in Reno.
Restaurant and Bar was great.
Climbing wall was a surprise.

Great place to stay
Pros:

The location is perfect for access to the area casinos, river walk, and automobile museum. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great happy hour. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Pros:

Interior is a nice redo but hard to cover up old smoke smell in the room. It was faint (I’m not the smoke sensitive type), but there. Bed was quite comfortable. If you are sensitive to smells be aware they seem to heavily spray something in the hallways that is sweet and strong. Valets were very nice and helpful. This place is very walkable to other places downtown.

Inconvenient when you have to park across the street!

The water in the hall way

The room had wet carpet didn’t notice until we unpacked and took our shoes off the bath tub was like stepping up on to a curb when you flush the toilet the water gets all over the seat the parking was across the street and they charge for parking. But the staff where great
