Exhausted and tired property
Pros:

Desperately needs a total re-fresh. Tired and beat up and doesn’t fit the Marriott mant

Pros:

The bed was very comfy, slept well.

Great location very walkable area. Wall to market Street, ferry building, giants stadium, we walked to north beach and china town and Russian hill and back. Salesforce Tower Park was cool all walking. The Moscone center is right there too!

My favorite place to stay!
Pros:

Everything about The Clancy is great. The staff, the location, the rooms, the coffee shop. Everything! It is definitely my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. If I visit again, I will definitely stay at The Clancy again.

I would definitely go back to stay again
Pros:

I liked the location, it was close to Union square, easy to find

Cons:

It didn’t have a parking garage. Which was fine I found parking across the street in a private garage that was safe and clean

Hotel itself is okay but the owners and staff I would not have as friends.
Pros:

Location is great. Near a lot of reputable restaurants - within walking distance.

Cons:

I didn't like the 'grab' all mentality of the hotel group. Advertising itself as a much cheaper hotel than it is in reality. They tell you what the room costs before telling you what it actuality costs. They do this by 'adding on' all the various taxes related to your stay AFTER they have given you a price for the room. I ended up paying 572.11 euros per night for a room. Then they had the check to charge me 8 dollars for a bottle of water from the room. This behaviour is what sickened me. They (attempt to) sell luxury but have no clue what luxury truly is. When I pay almost 600 euros a night to stay in a hotel room I expect to get the bottled water for free. It's their pettiness that really got to me. Vulgar not elegant that's how I'd describe this hotel.

Imagine booking your stay 3 months in advance, flying there just for them to give it to someone else

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Not worth the trouble you will have to go through.

Not worth any penny to stay at this hotel. Colleen and Kyran are terrible "managers". They need to be fired.

I booked this hotel 3 months before my stay. The day I arrived (10:30am) I asked if the room was ready. The hotel front desk clerk said they're still cleaning the room and to check back later. I come back again at 7:30pm and the same representative said "the manager needs to speak with you". After 10 min, the "manager" (Kyran) came and told me that the room I was supposed to stay in was occupied by someone else. They booked me at the Hilton Union Square which was further than the conference I was attending.

The only gave me $30 credit to go from The Clancy to the Hilton and back.
One way cost $35.

Colleen is supposedly Kyran's manager and she's trash. Giggled and smiled when I complained. Worst impression I've gotten of SF. NEVER EVER go to this hotel.

I've sent an email following up since Colleen did mention the hotel will take care of my extra uber expense and first breakfast. It has been 5 days. No response.

With all the trouble they've caused me, they were originally only going to give me 10k points. They ended up giving me 20k points which isn't even equivalent to 1 night stay, more like barely half a night stay.

Great stay, beautiful room!
Pros:

We've stayed at the Clancy a number of times, and it's been a great experience each time. The room is always quite, comfortable, and clean. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The cost of valet parking is a bit much.

Consistently Outstanding Service
Pros:

We’ve stayed at The Clancy Hotel in San Francisco multiple times, and the service is consistently outstanding. That’s what keeps us coming back.

I especially want to give a shout-out to Nelson, the bellman, who always takes such great care of us, and Alex at the Front Desk, who truly goes above and beyond every single time. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail make all the difference.

This hotel is top notch — from the service to the overall experience. Highly recommend, and we’ll absolutely be back!

Terrible service. Draconian charges.
