Beautifully designed common areas.
This hotel falls well short of what one would reasonably expect from a five-star establishment.
While the room may technically meet the minimum size requirements for a five-star rating, the layout is poorly designed and feels more consistent with a four-star property. The room was so cramped that opening the wardrobe required squeezing through the narrow gap beside the bed. The wardrobe itself was inadequately sized, with hanging clothes obstructing the doors from closing properly. There was also insufficient space to open and store suitcases comfortably.
The bathroom was equally disappointing. It consisted of a small, poorly designed shower area with a broken soap dispenser screwed to the wall and an unusually small toilet. Guests paying five-star prices would reasonably expect a spacious, well-designed bathroom with a quality shower, bathtub, and separate toilet facilities.
At a cost of €875 for two nights, the accommodation represented extremely poor value for money and delivered, at best, a three-star experience.
The service was equally disappointing. Apart from the receptionist who assisted us at departure, staff appeared largely indifferent to our concerns. We requested a room change due to our dissatisfaction, but this was refused. Hospitality at check-in was poor; despite arriving early, we were kept waiting until after 4:00 p.m. before being allowed access to our room. Many staff members appeared inexperienced and in need of further hospitality training.
Our stay did not meet the standards, service, or comfort expected of a five-star hotel.

Location was perfect, with the terrace overlooking the beautiful beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We just loved it all!

I’ve spent 3 days at Le grand Hotel, I’m so impressed with the personal service, the valet looked after my oversized véhicule, the room service was impeccable, the personal dedication and in room service which I really appreciated. The attention to detail and then…the restaurant - the linguine, the poisson du jour, a pleasure and a discovery! The magnificent Thalasso! I love the ambiance of the the salon where I could work in a relaxed environment. And then the departure, a personal touch - I have a 5 hour journey and the valet offered me water for the journey. The service at this hotel cannot be faulted from morning to night I felt I was cared for and it was an absolute pleasure!
