Cachet historique de l’hôtel et le confort de notre chambre.
Rien de particulier.
This intimate, charming hotel is the perfect location for exploring all 5 of the Christmas markets, the upper and lower towns of Old Quebec, close to both the stairs and the funicular and Chateau Frontenac; convenient for viewing the unique Christmas puppet parade right on beautifully decorated Rue St-Jean, great restaurants and shops, crossing the St Lawrence on the Quebec-Levis ferry, exploring Montmorency Falls and the picturesque vineyards, orchards and cideries of Ille d'Orleans "(the island"). The staff is friendly and super helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations, calling cabs, etc. Their walking tour guides provided in each room are great. *Upgrade to a room with a fireplace. Perfection! If you have an early departure, request one of their adorable breakfast baskets of croissants, pastries and juices hung on the door of your room. They also have their own raw honey for sale from the hives on their roof. The Hortus restaurant next door is a great gem for lunch and super convenient.
The location was exceptional for what touring we wanted to do. Parking was a minute walk into an underground parking area and what very reasonable in price per day.
Really can't think of anything that we didn't like. Would definitely stay there again.
The location was excellent. The room was everything we required. The breakfast was very nice as my wife pertains
The lounge with coffee machine. Location near so many sights and restaurants, but not as chaotic as nearer the Chateau Frontenac.
Really nothing.
Chambre très belle situation géographique près de tout et un personnel très aimable
Rien
This is our old stand-by hotel in Quebec City with numerous visits over the years. They have managed to continue to maintain the same excellent standards in cleanliness and service. Friendly helpful front-desk staff. We always love the lounge area with ample workspace and love the coffee machine. We have noticed that the breakfast baskets aren't as good as they used to be. You used to be able to select items that you wanted on multiple-day stays with options like hard-boiled eggs and chia pudding but now the baskets are standard baskets and are pretty much the same everyday. We did like having choice especially when staying multiple days. You cannot beat the location of this hotel.
My partner forgot her meds in the US and Pierrot at the reception desk helped us to get refills from a Canadian pharmacy. He literally saved our vacation. The room was beautiful and the service was fantastic. We highly recommend.
Good location.
Perfect location. Stunning building, clean, staff was very friendly and helpful.
Location, comfortable lounge, attentive staff
Nothing
The location was excellent. Our room was very nice and very clean. It was quiet despite overlooking the street one floor up from the lobby. Black out curtains were great. View of Christmas lights from our room was beautiful. We parked down by the Christmas Market with the skate rink. A closer parking was available if we had a sedan rather than an SUV. We did not use our vehicle because everything was so walkable. The hotel staff were all very friendly, professional and helpful.
All the reviews are true - the staff are so welcoming and polite. They were also accommodating with a later check out and baggage storage and use of the lounge after we checked out (we had a later flight). The room was beautiful and spacious with huge windows, a stone wall, super comfortable bed with 6 pillows and high quality sheets. It was squeaky clean and daily room service was also excellent. Lastly, it is in the BEST location - highly walkable to sights and restaurants, we loved it and will be back.
This is a fabulous boutique hotel very conveniently located on one of the main streets in Old Quebec City. The rooms are very comfortable, and housekeeping is exceptional. Everything is super clean. Beds are comfy, artwork throughout the hotel is beautiful, and the front desk staff are warm and welcoming. There is a puzzle room with a big table inside the large lounge that also features cozy seating, a nice hot beverage machine and a bowl of fresh fruit. We went for the first time in November 2024, and will be going back next week for the fourth time! No need to look elsewhere.
We recently visited the L’Hotel du Vieux-Quebec and stayed in the Quebec room which was in the basement. It was perfect! Large king room with a fireplace and wonderful shower. Absolutely loved the breakfast basket every morning left on our door and the coffee in the library room. The shining star was Pierrot! From the moment we walked in from a long day of travel and throughout our stay, he was a wealth of information presented warmly and efficiently. He was able to explain all of the necessities in about 45 seconds at check in and had us in our room within a couple of minutes. Great directions, recommendations, and advice throughout our stay. I am not sure what the other rooms are like but I would not hesitate to stay here again in the Quebec room! Perfection and hope to visit again soon!
La réception fut parfaite et l’idée des paniers déjeuners excellente. Merci!
