Both rooms they tried to give us smelled horrible and the weather was perfect and we were told we had a pool access but the pool was closed

Great hotel. I would stay there again
Pros:

The breakfast was great. every morning my parents and I came down for breakfast and was greeted by a very friendly staff. The food was delicious. The space was clean and nice
Also the bartender made a great margarita, and was really friendly.

Cons:

There was some type of test going on during my stay. There seemed to be random people walking around at times.

I had too high expectations for this hotel (based on reviews)
Pros:

It’s a nice looking hotel with a cozy yard and pool (although I don’t know who’d use them as it’s not really a holiday spot). The personnel was good as well. But the rooms and interiors need updating. It doesn’t help if you have room with a nice view (over pool) but the room smells (damp) and has signs of wear and tear all over the place - and this is the most important factor for me. I was honestly surprised it has so high ratings and I am happy I didn’t have to stay for another day.
