Decent hotel, great location, good value for money
Pros:

The hotel is overall nice. Perfect location just a few steps from San Marco but not on the main street so also very quiet. The triple room we had was really big and clean. Staff was also very nice.

Cons:

Although the outside and lobby/common spaces looked great the room wasn't all that nice. I assume it was just in our case since I heard from other people that the rooms are great. Nothing was wrong in particular but the room seemed not that well maintained especially the bathroom.
Also no sockets near the bed and only two in the whole room.

It was spacious and clean. Traveling with husband and two adult kids so it was nice to have a comfortable common area to relax in (we had one of the apartments.) The window view onto the canal was a bonus. The desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Didn’t realize how crowded with tourists the area around St Mark Square was. We probably would’ve liked to stay in a quieter, less touristy neighborhood than where the Hotel montecarlo is located.

A fantastic stay. Couldn’t have been happier!
Pros:

The location was superb. Everything worth seeing was within a 10 minute walk or less. Lots of restaurants surrounding and lovely staff.

Hôtel situé à 1 minute de marche de la place Saint Marc.
Respect des souhaits évoqués lors de la réservation, communication rapide avec l’hôtel.
Chambre spacieuse (supérieure) très propre et agréablement agencée, avec de
nombreux équipements. Vue magnifique sur la ville.
Personnel agréable et souriant.
Petits déjeuners délicieux et variés dans une jolie salle à manger.

Best location and staff!
Pros:

I stayed her 20 years ago, and it was the same!
Breakfast is fantastic! The staff are so gracious and helpful! They took care of getting a water taxi for us during the Regatta! Location is incredible! Highly recommend this wonderful, timeless place in Venice !

Super ist die Lage, 3 Min. zur S. Markusbasilika. Frühstück top, Personal sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Leider hatten wir im (kleinen) Badezimmer eine Invasion Fliegender Ameisen. Das Personal reagierte sofort, aber sie wurden der Plage in den 3 Tagen nicht ganz Herr.
Als Entgegenkommen haben sie uns aber die Kosten 1 x Frühstück, 40.€, erlassen.

This place is just wonderful. Feels timeless and cozy. I want to live there. They have breakfast and a lovely afternoon teatime. Fantastic location, just off a little side street very close to St Mark square.
