I summed up my stay at the beginning
Pros:

Nothing we could not listen to television or talk as we were being accused of saying that we were talking to loud and we was not talking at all there were people living in the hotel immigrants it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in the facilities were atrocious we checked in and they finished at 5pm and we could not check in till 3pm not good they should of stayed the facilities till at least 7pm I felt like I was at a school trip and after 9pm we could not talk and lights had to be out and for the reception staff to be outside our door listening to our conversation that is out of order

Cons:

Everything

Cute relaxing spa hotel
Pros:

We stayed at Stourport Manor for our anniversary and overall had a really lovely experience. Our room was nice and spacious, with a very big and comfortable bed, which made a big difference to our stay. The white bedding was exactly what we like, so that was a big plus. The only downside to the room itself was that the bathroom was quite small.

We made use of the pool and spa facilities, which were just £5 for a day pass—great value for money. We really enjoyed relaxing there during our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with very nice bars and a really pretty outdoor area that made the whole experience feel special.

The staff were all really lovely and helpful throughout our visit, which added to the positive atmosphere. For dinner, we went to The Watermill and had a great meal, and on the day we checked out, we headed to West Midland Safari Park, which was so close by and absolutely amazing.

Overall, we had a great time at the hotel and would definitely recommend it. The only negatives were that the room was extremely hot, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times, and unfortunately, a special anniversary request we had made wasn’t fulfilled.

Despite that, it was a really enjoyable stay and a memorable way to celebrate our anniversary.

Tired and dated hotel rooms but pleasant staff
Pros:

Very nice young man on reception .
Very nice coffee in the lounge.
Convenient location to walk into the town

Cons:

Room had a funny smell. TV remote was missing, telephone didn't work. Room was very cold on entering for the first time.
Bathroom was dirty.
Didn't like the fact you had to pay to use the leisure facilities, even as guests of the hotel

Really tired hotel
Pros:

Really tired hotel. Room was freezing, no remote control for TV and telephone didn't work. That was just to start with.
Have to pay £5 per person per visit to use the leisure facilities so we didn't bother. WiFi really slow. Bathroom was disgusting...photos to follow. No meals were included in our room rate from booking.com so we didn't want to try restaurant after state of room. Disappointing experience.
Only positive was a very pleasant young man on reception!

Hidden gem!
Pros:

This is such a lovely hotel, with very comfortable beds and we had a free upgrade to a family room too, so had a sofa as we didnt have the kids with us. The pool and sauna is a nice extra touch and the grounds are beautiful, where we sat having a drink in the evening while being treated to some live music. The manager Starlin is so helpful and friendly and all the staff are very pleasant. However, I have to say the food is a bit of a disappointment - it looks really nice on the photos on the website but it wasnt the best, although I can only comment on dinner as we didnt get up for breakfast! That's the only other criticism, the price of breakfast, £17.50 per person! All in all however we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return, its only about 10 mins drive from Kidderminster so will eat out next time 😉

In need of improvements
Pros:

Stayed here as an anniversary gift from a friend. There was confusion when checking in about payment as this was done via hotels.com by our friend but the hotel hadn’t received payment. So a quick phone call to our friend to get it sorted, bed and breakfast or so we thought.
Following morning we went to the restaurant for breakfast, which is buffet I might add, we were asked for room number and told we were room only. Went to query this at reception and found we were room only. Breakfast would be an additional charge of £17.50 for buffet not even table service. What if I only wanted a small amount like egg on toast or cereal. It just seems a bit excessive. Glad we never bothered as we found several places in town that offered breakfast for less than a fiver.
The room is in desperate need of improvements as there was cracks in the paintwork and various areas in the bathroom with mould and dust accumulation in the vent the shower is over the bath which my wife couldn’t use due to mobility problems, a walk in shower would be up to date.
WiFi is slower than a snail. Can’t control heating as this runs of a central heating system and is at the hotels discretion also the TV is outdated ( not smart tv).
Definitely would not recommend this hotel unless a lot of upgrades are done.

Relaxing break close to home
Pros:

Good location not far from the town centre. We stayed in room 61 which overlooks the car park and was alittle distance from reception. Room was nice and clean, big enough for our needs. We found all the staff to be welcoming and friendly. Yes the hotel is in need of renovation in certain places but being a large building this will be an ongoing project constantly. We had dinner in town in the evening which is approximately 25/30 minutes stroll downhill and a taxi back was less than £6 . Will definitely stay again but book directly with the hotel for a better rate . If you went by reviews you might be put off visiting but DONT BE ! we encountered no problems.PS the breakfast was lovely had the restaurant to ourselves.

Cons:

The £5 extra to use the pool / spa should be included in the cost of the room for what we paid for plus it closed at 5pm Saturday evening which we weren’t informed about so only had 45 minutes use . The locker rooms looked tired with missing doors but the more worrying aspect was the walk down along the corridor to the changing rooms . Right in the middle is a broken tile with all the edges missing and not cordoned off , anyone with limited eyesight or elderly could easily trip and you’re going to be facing a legal / medical bill .

A great experience at Stourport Manor.
Pros:

We have just returned from a lovely weekend stay at Stourport Manor and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. From the warm welcome at reception to the staff throughout the hotel we were made to feel at ease straight away.
The hotel is set within its own beautiful grounds and is well located close to the town but is very peaceful and quiet.
Our room was superb and looked to have been recently refurbished with a fantastic bathroom and fittings throughout. The food in the evening and at breakfast was extremely good and fairly priced, the bar was great too with lots of choice.
The leisure club was a welcome bonus during the weekend and we made good use of all the facilities on offer there.
Thank you fo everyone at Stourport Manor you were great.

Nice Looking but disappointing service
Pros:

W had to attend an porting event in Stourport and Stourport Manor was our obvious choice for the location. The hotel has a nice entrance drive of the main road, a bit dated when you get in. We had 3 rooms located on the ground floor and as we entered we could hear the Fire Alarm beeping loudly. I did mentioned this to the reception but nothing was done as this was the week end and did not have any maintenance staff to change the batteries!. Bed very comfy but room noisy due to fire alarm and door alarm in the corridor with a weird little music. Blue Hotel logo on the outside wall making noise all night. Disappointing as not cheap to stay there. Bathroom got flooded after a shower, not too sure why. Very hot at night but been in the ground floor did not open the window.
