Clean, good location and good breakfast
No complaints
Great location just off the expressway. Convenient to food and shopping. Close to downtown, but in the suburbs. They had a nice breakfast, a pretty nice selection of food.
Wi-Fi not working and no cable TV , roos had just been renovated, still lots of dust from work in process. Had to change rooms because the j trap fell off of the sink.
Staff very friendly.
I know Michigan is a pot state but does it make it legal to smoke in a smoke free building? Had to smell it in the hallways with my grandkids.

IT was SO newly redone, there was still some construction odor - paints, adhesives perhaps. Likely be fine within a month.
When I registered I asked, if I decide to stay another day would they give me the same rate. The lady (owner family?) said yes. Next morning when I asked to stay another day a man (employee) said he was not authorized to give more than a 20% discount. I was adamant about the hotel keeping its commitments. Wasted 10 min of my time, and I was NOT happy with him; he argued that it would be not that much more, so I said then you shouldn't mind paying the difference for me. After his repeated assertions that he couldn't give me the same rate, he did. I DO hate this kind of service/ business. But I was otherwise very happy with the hotel, and also felt quite certain this employee was NOT going to prevail - and I was on my own clock. And the evening lady (owner?) was charming.
The staff was exceptional.

Always stay here when we come to visit! The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the beds are so comfortable. Easy access to the highway. They even let us check in early after driving all night which was very much appreciated!
Did not have any extra blankets for the sofa bed.
The pool
The room only had 6 channels on the TV. Beds were uncomfortable and room seemed dirty.
The hotel was undergoing new remodeling, so the room we stayed in had brand new mattresses and furniture. Unfortunately, there were no lamps built in yet, and the air conditioning unit did not work, so it was pretty muggy the first night. But, overall, I would highly recommend it. The breakfast was really good as well. Breakfast, sausage, eggs, waffles, and variety of pastries, oatmeal, Yogurts, and milk.
The air conditioning in the unit was not quite working, so we were a bit hot.

Unclean and the staff were not friendly
The shower was new and clean. They stored my freshly caught fish in their deep freeze overnight.
I reserved a 2 room, double king bed suite 6 weeks ago for my 2 adult children, my husband and I. When I came to check in, I was told that room wasn't available because of "maintenance" and they would put us in a 1 room, 2 double bed room, but take 15% off! I even called the day before to ask about storage for my cooler and nothing was mentioned about the room change. What's more is there wasn't any drawers or table top in the bedroom and the TV's weren't hooked except for local channels! We couldn't hang up clothes as there were no racks or hangers. This room never should have been rented! The hotel was clearly renovating and there was a giant pile of mattresses in the parking lot and parking was limited due to truck beds. I blame corporate for this, not the staff- they were put in an awful position!
Had a pool
Holes in wall , main lights broken , tvs disconnected every other word , microwave stolen fridge broken inside , stains all over like couch and white stuff on walls behind bed , shower handle fell right off , pool room was unkept , front desk was pretending my payment didn’t go through when I tried to check out .
