Hotel Wave at Rehoboth Beach

Breakfast on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday there was hardly anything. Toast, English muffin, or cereal ( fruit loops or Raisin Bran.

The rooms were fine with the exception of the carpet; however, they noted it at check in and apologized.

The breakfast was minute and was often out of several items. Several days we had to wait for food to defrost in order to have an english muffin or toast. There was hardly anything to eat or drink during breakfast (one morning the juice machine was turned off and the waffe batter wasn't even made - this was at 8 a.m.)

The reception area was nice; however there were instances during the day where staff was utilizing the space to build furniture which made it difficult to use the space during the day time.

My room surely could have been cleaner - especially the bathroom. The hallway and staircase rugs were filthy, It was actually a two story motel - not a hotel - without an elevator. I had failed to note the stated absence of elevator upon making the reservation. However, when one books a "hotel," one automatically expects at least one elevator. I expected that some staff would enter my room each day to make the bed, empty the trashcan, and provide a new supply of towels. None of that happened. SOME of the staff were very helpful - some not. The window shade was ripped prior to my arrival and in bad condition. After closing the shade the first time, I was only able to open it a very slight amount for the rest of my shortened stay. Upon my arrival at almost exactly 3pm, I requested a first floor room and was told there were none available, Had I arrived at 10pm, I could understand that but at 3pm????? I am almost 84 years old and while I managed the staircase, I was afraid of falling.

So many things I thought were not clean or up to my expectations. The rugs were so dirty throughout the whole facility, the pool and hottub were so dirty, the hot and cold lines in the shower were backwards, the faucet in the bathroom sink was stuck (one side to turn on and off), and the a.c. unit vent was so moldy. My husband couldn't take seeing it so had to wipe it down. Breakfast was ok, I feel like little options. The had 1 bagel option, 2 cereals, hard boiled eggs, 2 size waffle options, juices, yogurt, 1 pastry option, and coffee was hard to find.

The fact i was there for a week and never saw room service, my girlfriend and i had been locked out of our room 3 times a day every day

I had booked that hotel for 3 days straight with kids but trust me,i felt like giving up the second day because we requested for room cleaning services and trash collection from the manager on duty and even left a written notice but nothing happened! Coming back later from our tiresome day and meeting up with dirty towels from the first day I felt like we were neglected for what I paid for!! They didn’t care until we left and nothing was done! Can’t come back. It’s filthy and cleaners don’t even care doing their job!

We had to ask for towels as 1 towel was not going to be enough.

The place was so gross. Blood on the bathroom walls, other people's hair in our beds, dog food in the corners of the rooms, shower/toilet barely drained, hallway carpets looked like a dead body was drug through them, our room was sooo humid and smelled like mildew. I will never be back.
