Hotel Wave at Rehoboth Beach

The property was dirty as you walked through the halls to the rooms. The rugs were filthy, as if they had never been cleaned. There was no elevators so you had to carry your luggage up 1 1/2 flights of stairs. The free breakfast was prepared bagels. The pool area was full of dirt. Rust pipes hanging, the bathroom and the pool area was corroded with dirt and the toilet leaked water. As far as my room in particularly I paid for a Jacuzzi room. There was no Jacuzzi the Jacuzzi in the room was broken. The staff member told us that it was supposed to be a hot tub however, it was neither. The bathroom sink was clogged. The first night they came to plunged it. They said it was fixed. It was not we could not use the sink freely due to it having slow drainage and being clogged. The toilet when flushing in the room, leaked water out the back of the tallest system. We were only given one rag and one towel we had to ask for more. due to language barrier, the maid had to type in my request to understand what I was asking her for, she then left extra towels and wash clothes however did not refresh my room or clean it at all. I would recommend never staying at the Heat Wave Hotel in Rehoboth Beach.

The carpet on the stairs and hallway were filthy. It looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks and it was black and looks like it had never been steam cleaned. It was truly disgusting.

We booked a room with jacuzzi and it didn’t work. The sink was clogging up.

Very dirty, was given a room that was really dirty had to switch rooms. The rugs in the hall was were so dirty and smelled. Our room smelled bad and the bathroom and tub was dirty we had to clean the room ourselves. Looks like they just quick clean the rooms.

No jacuzzi

Nothing like the photos that advertise the hotel. There is a homeless person living right outside the property. Rusty sprinkler pipes over the pool. The bathtub needs to be replaced, it was cracked and rusted and had soft spots. The exhaust fan did not work. The bathroom door you had to lift up to close.

This property was dirty and disgusting. My room has molded bed sheets and stains and when I called the front desk for assistance, I was basically told that I needed to come and get my own sheets like I was a housekeeper. They didn’t seem to understand how disgusting and disturbing that situation was and wanted me to fix it. Also, the bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t close and there wasn’t even a smoke detector on the wall. It was taken off. This hotel also didn’t even have a manager as I was told from multiple employees. I just don’t understand how a hotel can run so poorly.

Building is showing its age roof is leaking the area around pool is falling apart stuff does not work
