Stayed here for a quick overnight. The place is very interesting being an old army airbase. The overall property is off the main road and grounds were maintained. The room we had was in the older section of the hotel. The room was fine, bed a bit hard and overall cleanliness of the room average (could have been cleaner). Overall though, a great value for the money and better than staying at a chain hotel that is loud and on a busy street or near the freeway. Would go back
overall cleanliness of the rooms I was dissppointed in the bathroom area.
The property was private which provided some privacy for guests and was well lit for safety, although there did not appear to be any safety concerns. Clean, accommodating, and had no unusual scent in the rooms when entering. I would love to stay again and check out the amenities. We had a short stay, checked in late and left early. Didn’t get to try the breakfast or pool. I give great referrals and love to give them too! I stick to what I know and so far this place has an A+ for the time we had there. Registration personnel was welcoming at registration, on point with information and direction with a delightful personality. I myself have been a Manager for a chain of boutique hotels in San Francisco and hold a high standard of hospitality. I have no complaints about him or his service.
I have no complaints. I would refer and stay again.
Room was nice, staff was nice and it was in a good location.
I stepped on a roach at 3am

My first priority was safety. First time in 50 yrs I traveled alone. I was very nervous as an older female traveler. Downtown does not have a good reputation.
It's an old military compound that was converted into a huge hotel. Many military folks are there. My daughter had gone w a clogging convention & she loved it. So did I.
The rooms were older, but beautifully designed. Nice presentation of the bed & towels. Good bedside lighting. Plug-ins for your electronics (but not high speed). Two wastebaskets, great desk. I slept like a baby. Also tons of parking & an "Officers Club Restaurant" that served scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, toast, cereal, great coffee & juices. Outdoor & indoor seating. Lovely. I will only stay there from now on.
Some of the paint is wearing in the bathroom. But it was clean & shower great.
The historic location & the ghosts. The rooms are clean. Nice landscaping and some shade. The area is quiet, traffic is far enough away you don't hear it. Ample parking but you'll want to drive to breakfast.
The breakfast offerings were limited Wed. and meh but was good last Tuesday. Pool is cold and not clean, the hot tub doesn't work. The coffee pot wouldn't shut off and I had to unplug it. Having to use a card key to get in the building when carrying a bunch of stuff and only having seconds before the door closes is annoying.
Was there for a volleyball tourney at Cal Sports Expo at McClellan. Facility was nearby and relatively clean, though a bit run down.
We were supposed to have 2 queen beds but they were full sizes. Not cool. Also, the jacuzzi was out of order and the pool towels were more like rags. We were originally a family of 4 when I booked (hence the need for 2 queens, which is more expensive) but there were only towels for 2 people. Breakfast was convenient but the offerings felt like prepackaged foods that were just heated up. Eggs were gross. No bacon. There were sausage patties but those are too processed.
Simple spread. American breakfast. Bagel, toast, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, bananas. We ate the first day but did not feel like going back for the second time. Could be better for the price I am paying.
I called for the tv because it had no signal. They said they are sending someone. Called them back numerous times and no one answered the ring. They probably could tell where the call was coming from. Waited for an hour for someone to show up but no one did. We left the room because we had to be somewhere. There was no follow up and no one checked the tv. I paid for $200 plus because it was the weekend rate and expected more but we were left with no tv. At least the internet signal was strong. Rooms were acceptable although outdated style. Plenty of parking although the closest parking are always competitive.
Petit déjeuner excellent et très varié
Close proximity to Capitol Sports Complex where my daughter was playing in a volleyball tournament.
The carpet in the hallway had duck tape across it, holding a seem together. The carpet was old and gross with stains, the counter tops were chipped and pealing, the bathroom mirror was cracked and old and outdated. The road noise was loud, prostitutes seen on the street just outside the hotel.
