2* not 4*, with the most terrible staff ever

20 min walk from train station and generally abt 10 min from main city centre attractions

Cons:

My experience was horrible. This is not child friendly, rooms are dirty, not spacious at all(it is impossible to reach the bed). This is not a 4* hotel, barely 2.5*. They do not have a real cook, there is no restaurant on the premises. If you serve dinner expect a list of 5 rice dishes and one pasta. All indian spicy food, no real food selection variety. They do not come upfront with this information (menu). Some of the staff are nice, but some are agressive! They do not care about the guests, but lie only to cover themselves. The toilet paper was left used and they blamed me! There was no toilet brush in the room! Walls were stained, massive visible dirt near sleeping areas and the bathroom was not child friendly. This is a joke hotel not worth the money.

Great location and very comfortable
Pros:

Very easy to get to and there's a long stay car park right behind it. Only a 5 minute walk to the main area of York. Room clean and had everything you needed, lady on reception was very pleasant and efficient.

Cons:

Not a complaint at all, just that a radiator was very near my side of the bed and I banged my leg on it in the dark!

Grandson loved it ,will come again ,went to Jorvik centre ,castle ,& walls ,lovely weather .comy, & good food ,

Disappointing stay
Pros:

Nice room king size double bed , however the bathroom floor was dirty, and had quite a few hairs which weren’t ours .
The container of body lotion by the sink was empty !
There was no teaspoons , or anything to stir the milk for cup of tea .
coffee machine used pods but there wasn’t any !

Cons:

Breakfast expensive , and disappointing cold fried eggs , cold mushrooms .
Also also breakfast room need a deep clean.
