Mold and a completely filthy air conditioner system made me sneeze the how trip. So bad that I had to leave a day early! HORRIBLE
We were very disappointed at checkin. We had chosen their FlexPay option and it was paid through them with a virtual card. At checkin, the clerk changed my payment method and charged it to my debit card. As a result, this put us into a major financial bind. That is why we chose FlexPay. I didn't find this out until we had checked out (left a day early due to incoming snow storm) but did not ask for a refund of the unused night. When I called back on 1/27 to ask why money was taken from my account, the person on the phone discovered that the FlexPay was cancelled by the clerk without my consent. I was told it would be rectified and I would receive the money back in my bank in a few days. It has been over a week and still no money. Two emails to the business and no answer. I definitely would not recommend this location. I am very frustrated and not sure what to do from here. This is definitely not good customer service.
Clean, comfortable room and hot breakfast are great! Fitness room needs work. Hot tub cleaning was severely neglected.
Had a great time mr. Paul the manager is doing a fine job Taking care of its patrons as well as the building, plus all the amenities for his the customers. The day and the night staff are really doing their best to make sure that each rooms is cleaned and prepped ready for business every day. kind smiles with salutations. The location is in a good spot. The atmosphere as soon as you come into the hotel looks nice and cozy.Inviting. a really good value for your money. Price is very reasonable.
The noise level of this hotel is great rooms are nice and quiet walls. Seem nice and thick.

The beds are always very comfortable. The fragrance in the lobby and stairs is overwhelming, gives me a headache.
I stayed here because of the Park-Sleep-Fly package. The airport shuttle ran on the hour (leaving the hotel) for both directions. I arrived at the IAD hotel picked up location around 6:10pm. The bus was gone already. I called the hotel and they said I had to wait until around 7:10pm for the next shuttle. I finally got on the shuttle around 7:20pm.
The front desk staff was nice. Good room size. There was a bug in the bath room. It had a small gym and standard breakfast.
Very clean hotel and the staff are very friendly. I will recommend the hotel 1 million time to whoever looking to stay around this neighborhood.
This review is long overdue.
Anyone who has read my other reviews knows I am a stickler for good old fashioned service; the kind a person used to get way back in the last millennia. Well, everything about the Wingate met that criteria, including the furniture. And by that I mean the furniture was old with slight nicks here and there. But it wasn’t so well used that it was unsightly or uncomfortable; it did its job. I was told that the hotel is undergoing a renovation and will soon have totally new desks, tables and TVs.
Hopefully, they will NOT change the bedding, which was by far the most comfortable I’ve slept in for many a night’s hotel stay!
Our fridge was so quiet, I didn’t even realize it was on until I was awake and heard it turn off. If you get a room the faces Rt. 50, don’t despair; the blackout shades work extremely well.
The Wingate also has free breakfast every day from 6:30 to 9:30, including DIY waffle station, free wifi, a swimming pool with a hot tub (open early afternoon until evening), a small gym, a printer and a shuttle to/from Dulles airport and the Udvar-Hazy museum (which is part of the Air and Space Museum). Believe me, you’ll appreciate that even more when you see how much parking is for that place.
I could go on about the amenities, but as I said, the main thing for me is service. The staff was amazing from check in to check out. Special thanks go to Sahil and Mike and all the others whose smiling faces made our trip so pleasant.
We enjoyed it so much we plan to stay there whenever we are in the area again.
very nice hotel not far from the airport, free parking, quick check in process, rooms are big enough, beds are comfortable, there is a good hot breakfast served in the morning
A few days ago at the front Two days ago, there was a very sick employee working at the front desk — she was clearly heavily congested, had no mask on, kept sneezing, and wiping her nose with her hand. After that, she was handing hotel key cards to guests with that same hand.
In my opinion, this is absolutely irresponsible and unacceptable. If you know you’re sick, you should not be checking in guests who have just arrived after long flights and exposing them to the risk of getting infected. And if you still come to work while sick, at least wear a mask and avoid putting your customers at risk.
The staff was cordial. The rooms need updating. The bathroom tub was rusty.
Daily replacing towels for over night guests should be standard without asking
The microwave in room did not work very well. Never really got anything hot. All the refrigerator did was freeze. Had to throw out fruit etc. The internet sign for tv kept going out
Unfortunately the room was not as advertised. The hallway reeked of mildew and weed. No security to speak of (anyone could walk in and go up the elevator) and the bathroom and refrigerator were both dirty upon checkin.
If it wasn’t so late when I arrived I would have canceled on the spot and took my chances elsewhere. Lesson learned

We accidentally left two bags of belongings in the room. We called an hour after leaving and they claimed that nothing was found. So sad, as this was $500 in souvenirs from our once in a life time trip.
Airport shuttle was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. Charged me twice but they said girl was new. Breakfast was good. Would stay again
Staff was helpful, friendly. Clean room, easy parking.
