Pros:

The staff just makes this place rock. I left an item behind. When I called to inquire about it, they quickly retrieved it and helped me make arrangements to have it returned.

Cons:

I know it's capitalism but the cost is high during the summer months.

NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE HERE
Pros:

This used to be a good Hotel it's clean has comfortable beds, is in a very central location all good and was recently renovated, nice.
BUT no one aswers the phone if you call the hotel directly.
You get a recorded message that tells you to press "0" for the front desk or "1" for reservations and if no one picks up it loops back to the recorded message. Today May 4th, 2026 I tried for 55 minutes to make a reservation, nope.

I call the Holiday Inn Corporate reservation line to book and explained my team travels on a preferred government rate and asked if they can honour it.
They stated they had no way of doing so but could book a standard two queen bed room at the location for $425.00 Cdn dollars per night.
I was looking to book four individual rooms for four nights duration.
I asked if the rate would be adjusted upon check on and was told the booked rate would stand...or I could call the hotel location directly to book, right, but they don't answer the phone.
I have stayed at this property since it was a Howard Johnson property and then converted to a Holuday Inn.
My opinion, they need to bring Howard back cause the Holiday team makes it way way too hard to do business.
Way to go guys you just blew off four rooms for four nights for this week, next week and again the first week in June.
Won't bother calling again, found a different hotel that answers the phone, includes a full breakfast and offers a realistic rate.

Stay at Holiday Inn
Pros:

Location was great in between Victoria curry center and Victoria international airport, room was very clean, quiet and has comfortable beds. Prices were reasonable given the season and hotel has outdoor swimming pool and gym to enjoy.

Good night sleep, friendly staff and yummy food at the restaurant! We will be back!
Pros:

Comfortable bed, quiet room overlooking the pool and on the third floor which we appreciated.

Cons:

The a/c was a little too loud. It would be nice to have a cosmetic mirror in the bathroom.

Nice comfortable rooms in a great location of town.

Cons:

We thought there was continental breakfast when we booked online because it explained getting free breakfast but turns out you need to read the fine print and apparently only certain rates get breakfast at their restaurant.
