Aircon broke on hottest weekend of the year, dusty fan provided and expensive parking.
Pros:

Clean room, great location to the main canal area of birmingham.

Cons:

Room had no aircon during our entire stay on the hottest weekend of the year so far, despite being advertised as having aircon. Made many attempts to contact hotel reception - no answer, went down to reception in person on both nights and was told maintenance would fix the issue - didn't happen. Eventually manager suggested to move rooms (the time now was midnight) or bring a plug-in fan. Fan was filthy and dusty, we had to clean it before using it. Room was very hot, no airflow, not able to open windows and unpleasant. Staff offered partial refund which was appreciated but the stay in the room was still absolutely uncomfortable. Be careful about parking - hotel stipulates it has parking, but it is a paid-for carpark which is charging £20 per day. I don't consider that to be a hotel with parking facilities.
