It was very central and ideal for what k wanted .
The fact the shower dripped constantly and also the light from the corridor shown under the door and light up the room which is not ideal when trying to get to sleep .
Excellent location. All staff very polite and friendly. Excellent facilities very clean and fresh.
The time spent waiting for the lift especially from LGF
The room was lovely, tastefully decorated, clean and high spec.
We opted not to have breakfast as quite pricey.
The staff everywhere were delightful, very helpful and friendly. Serving staff at breakfast gave me lots of guidance on what to do in Birmingham.
The room was brilliant, quiet and very comfortable. It was lovely and cool on a very warm day.
Just a minor thing. The breakfast was ok but products didn’t seem that freshly cooked. Some things would have been better cooked on request.
Lovely bed extra comfy , super clean , shower was lovely to , breakfast was 10/10
Lifts were a nightmare as we was on the 12th floor but not blaming it on the staff
One bright spot during our stay was the gentleman running breakfast service. We asked whether it would be possible to exchange our drink vouchers for soft drinks instead, and he was incredibly kind, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. His excellent customer service briefly made us feel as though our stay was getting back on track. Unfortunately, by that point it was the end of our stay, and his efforts alone could not make up for the numerous issues we had already experienced.
When we first arrived, we were impressed by the appearance of the lobby and were genuinely excited for our stay. Unfortunately, that positive first impression quickly faded.
When we checked into our room and headed upstairs, we found members of the cleaning staff sitting in the corridor on a loudspeaker phone call with their legs stretched out across the walkway. We politely asked if they could move so we could wheel our suitcases through, but the whole situation felt unprofessional.
Once we entered the room, we immediately noticed that one of the bedside tables was missing. Later that evening, the room became unbearably hot. We checked the thermostat, which indicated the air conditioning was running, but no cold air was coming from the vents. We called reception and were told that a manager would bring up a fan. After waiting more than 20 minutes with no update, we called again. My husband eventually went downstairs to investigate.
The receptionist returned our call, and I explained that we were unhappy with the situation and didn’t feel a fan would solve the problem, as it would simply circulate the warm air. We were then told that my husband would meet the manager at reception. To their credit, the hotel offered us an “upgrade” to another room that was supposedly cooler. However, this meant moving all of our belongings ourselves up another three floors at 11pm. We were also given two drink vouchers, despite it being obvious that we were heading to bed rather than making use of the bar.
When we finally arrived at the upgraded room, the only noticeable difference was a slightly larger bed. The room was marginally cooler, but there was also a fan waiting for us there, which suggested the issue hadn’t really been resolved.
At checkout, we informed the receptionist that we had changed rooms during the night. She didn’t acknowledge the inconvenience, ask how our stay had been, or show any interest in our experience. She simply took our key cards and checked us...
The little touches was the best more appreciated drinks on welcome bottles of water in the room.
I cant think of anythink that was bad or to complain about.
Location on the main street great for Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Excellent
Great location.
Amazing breakfast
Helpful staff
As so often the case hot and stuffy in the room. Windows don’t open and no ability to cool room (hotel main switch was still set on ‘heat’ rather than cool). Meant for a poor night’s sleep. They did bring a fan but it just blew the hot air around rather than cooling it.
