This is a great place to stay.
Pros:

Other than a couple morning of late breakfast, I called the GM and he had the issue straightened out right away. Lots of parking out front, clean facility, clean bedroom and a nice up gade for being a platinum member.

Definitely will stay here again.
Pros:

The foyer is spacious as well as the breakfast area. The room as well is spacious. Bed is comfortable. I needed an extra pillow and Anastacia made sure I was able to get additional one before we came back from our trip. The pool was decent in size but the slide was great.

Great place to stay in South Calgary.
Pros:

I've stayed at the Wingate hotel several times before. It's always a great stay, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and I can easily control the temperature in the room. Their morning cafe offers a great variety of items, and there is lots of seating. The staff are friendly and professional.

I would recommend this to anyone for either a short or long term stay.

Would stay again.
Pros:

Breakfast was typical continental breakfast, nothing special. Bed was super comfy. Room was good sized and clean.

Cons:

Hot tub wasn't working on our visit.
A bit tricky to get to but parking was fine.

Pros:

Staff, room: clean and comfortable size (and responsive, in-room HVAC), beds: comfortable but smaller than expected, good breakfast, clean breakfast area with attentive staff, pool (lots of towels at poolside), location reasonably quiet and close to restaurants.

Cons:

Bed size... thought they were queens... ended up with doubles... made for a tighter squeeze than expected.
One of beds was very close to AC unit... (improvised barrier to block/redirect the cool air blowing directly on the bed by the windows and AC unit)

This hotel is a refuge from the big city - we look forward to staying here!!
Pros:

Some might say Wingate South is a bit tough to get to - BUT that is what makes it charming and why we keep coming back. It is a bit off the beaten trail and down in a lovely little valley that keeps the traffic and city noise out of this little precious spot.

Everything was wonderful except the pool. Very very cold pool.
Pros:

Loved the breakfast! The rooms were very clean.

Cons:

The pool was way too cold. A couple of degrees warmer would have been much better. We stayed at the hotel due to the pool and our kids. I don't know if we would stay again when we have children with us.
