Good location, clean rooms.
$50 deposit now required per booking. This is not listed anywhere on Booking.com, nor on the Red Roof Inn website. I’ve stayed here many times before but will never return under this undisclosed and idiotic policy.
Bed was comfortable.
In room coffee was terrible and there were no available in the lobby. Our first room had a leak, our second room was missing the remote. the ice machine on the 1st floor was broken. The doors to the old pool room were covered with plastic in general the whole place was run down.
We have stayed at the Red Roof Inn South Deerfield for over twenty years. We have enjoyed our visits over the years and we found a clean, safe, customer-friendly, reasonably-priced facility. That being said, our October, 2025 visit found a horrible deterioration in the quality of our stay. For example, there was standing water inside both of the side entrances near our room. Large signs have boasted, "This is a smoke free facility." However, I personally observed a filthy, middle-aged man lighting and smoking a cigarette in the hallway next to my room. People were constantly smoking everywhere in the hotel. It reeked of tobacco. Furthermore, the smell of marijuana was ever-present in our room's area. Security was a joke as well. Both side entrances near our room were completely unlocked 24/7, ANYONE could have entered the hotel at any time! Additionally, there was no room cleaning or maintenance staff on duty until near the end of our stay. As a result, the hallway was filled with leaves, dirt, and other debris most of the time, leaving a musty, sickening smell. Unfortunately, the sheets in our room had not been changed since the previous occupants of our room. Disgusting! Expressing concerns to the front desk were next to impossible. All the while, we kept remembering what a great place to stay the Red Roof Inn South Deerfield used to be, trying to give the benefit of the doubt. The conditions were filthy, dangerous, and couldn't be much worse.
All other hotels in area were booked, as October is a busy time for them, so relocating was out of the question.
Needless to say, my family will never stay at this place again. What a shame to see a once outstanding place turn into such a nasty hotel, in a fairly brief period of time.
I contacted corporate due to no internet for almost a week now. They kept saying it was restored, which is not true because I even sent a picture showing it said all bars, but when you clicked on it, it says no internet. I have gone to the front desk several times about this issue with no resolution. This is very frustrating when corporate wont listen to my concern/issue, but instead just keeps saying it has been restored.
Location .
Seem to host homeless. Smelled like strong scent of weed and cigs in hallway. There was a def presence of drug addicts. An ambulance was there in the morning. It's a shame because the location is beautiful. Some family s were disappointed because they got rid of the pool 3 years ago. And they were not aware. .
Location, close to a few attractions and restaurants
It was dirty on every level.. room was not cleaned the whole stay, not enough towels, wash cloths, hand towels, soaps, shampoos... Marijuana smells in the hallways. Staff was nice but there was never anyone at the front desk when I tried to check in, I waited for 20 minutes and no one came out. I had to set in my car until I saw someone moving around in there. Upon check out noone was at the front desk and they left a cell number to call. I called the number 6 times which was sent straight to VM.. I had to send a text to get a response. What should have taken 5 minutes to check in and check out ended up taking an extra hour of my time. I was not happy and very disappointed!

We checked into our room, went to dinner and our room was given to another party. We were able to get another room.
We.were upset about our room being to another person. We were fortunate that we did not leave our luggage in the room.
