a value for money hotel room with rooms average
Pros:

Rooms are much larger than almost all the hotels we've stayed in Padang city in the same price range. The hotel building is really large and bright.The breakfast selection is good overall. Location is strategic to the places we frequent including the waterfront, Transmart, etc. The downside is the pillows and linens like towels are pathetically old. They should have been replaced years ago. The key cards did not work with the lifts so caused lots of downtime till the hotel decided to disable them.

Fake reviews, NOT Excellent, Terrible
Pros:

I booked based on excellent rating on Hotels.com, those must be fake reviews, the hotel is old, dated, dirty, uncomfortable. There is no bar as listed on Hotels.com. Food is terrible in the huge empty “restaurant”. I checked out two days early even with non-refundable booking and went to the much much better ZHM and Mercure

Best hotel in Padang
Pros:

Easily the best located hotel in Padang, close to the beach for sunset and Tee Box if you're looking for nightlife.
The hotel has an amazing coffee shop located near by called "Lalito Coffee Bar", this is must visit for "real" coffee as unfortunately the hotel coffee is average at best.
The front desk staff were always helpful to provide me with information on places to see and visit.

Good location - clean and comfortable too.
Pros:

More traditional style Indonesian hotel. Service, cleanliness, comfort and condition well all good. Local area is close to the beach and the major shopping center. No in-room safe and about 20 people staying in the room adjacent. I prefer a more modern hotel so would only stay again if it was the right price.
