The pool and location
Water from the shower was leaking all over the bathroom. Terrible design!
Second time staying here, years apart. Decent and quiet rooms with convenient location. Low season, so pool wasn't crowded and finally got to enjoy as a relaxing oasis. Connected to shopping and direct access to the beach road. Didn't bother with breakfast this time. Would stay again.
Had a very weird check out experience. I'd prearranged a car to the airport for the morning, but on checking out the front desk guy insisted I wait for housekeeping the check the room. He said it was to make sure I didn't forget anything but the implication was clear: that I'd somehow damaged or took something from the room. I firmly informed him I would not be waiting and had a plane to catch, but what a sour ending to an otherwise nice stay.
The location is excellent, with direct beach access and a mall attached to the hotel. The property also has a good swimming pool, a spa, and a nice dining restaurant with a good variety of food. The entire team was very helpful and accommodating. I arrived before the scheduled check-in time, and they were kind enough to provide me with a room as soon as one was available.
The hotel does feel a little dated, and there was an unpleasant smell in both the room and the bathroom. Unfortunately, I also developed back pain from the second day onwards (I suspect the bed), which made it difficult for me to fully enjoy and experience the property.
