Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 3 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check in.

- The name on the credit card used for the booking should correspond to the guest staying at the property. For reservations made by a third party, you will need to complete an authorization form and present a copy of the person's ID and credit card.

Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um Georgetown zu erkunden
Pros:

Klasse Lage am Meer und zugleich sehr nah an downtown George Town, schöner Pool, gediegene Atmosphäre, Frühstück in einer extremen Vielfalt, eigentlich tägliches brunchen

Cons:

Das Bad hätte ein bisschen sauberer sein können, die Liegen beim Pool sind „durch“ und müssen mal erneuert werden

A luxurious stay in the heart of George Town.
Pros:

This hotel is beautiful. Spacious, beautifully decorated rooms and public spaces. We stayed in the Victory Wing, a new high-rise addition to the original E & O. However, the quality and feel of this part of the hotel still offered the sense of luxury and charm that is so evident in the original part of this iconic hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I can’t wait to go back!

It was a great place to stay. Close to several tourist attractions that is within walking distance.
Pros:

Spacious room with a wonderful view and fantastic facility.

Cons:

Whilst the Buffet was great and the staff at the restaurant were fantastic, sadly the fresh oysters gave me a 3 day food poisoning.
