Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 3 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check in.

- The name on the credit card used for the booking should correspond to the guest staying at the property. For reservations made by a third party, you will need to complete an authorization form and present a copy of the person's ID and credit card.

A most wonderful stay
Pros:

This is an amazingly wonderful place to stay in Georgetown. Everything is so well done, the staff are so friendly, the food is fantastic and our room spacious. We had no idea how a two day transit break in Penang could be so good.

A heritage hotel with warmth, opulent but not in your face. A charm.
Pros:

The place has a charm - it's quiet and perfect. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are sparkling clean. Breakfast spread has an outstanding variety. I only wished I stayed there longer.

Cons:

The walking path to the heritage town was not so easy - this is not the hotels problem - but th e way roads/ traffic is organised. I was pushing a stroller and there are no proper sidewalks in the city of Penang.

Very comfortable stay

It was a little further out than the Old Town.

Worth the price as it is really an excellent hotel with great location.
Pros:

The International breakfast buffet is excellent, services are prompt.
The room are kind of spacious but bright, best is have seaview and very quiet.
We love the infinity pool and the gym. Love the location for easy access from rest of the town.

Fantastic Hotel
Pros:

The E&O Hotel was a fantastic hotel and catered to all of our needs as a family.
The location, room and all facilities were fantastic!


Staff: 5/5
- You’re greeted with a smile. All the staff around the hotel are welcoming, warm, friendly and will go above and beyond for you. The doormen and reception staff were great.

Food and catering staff: 5/5
- As we were travelling with our 1yr old who has a strict diet, the head chef catered to her every need for lunch and dinner and treated her like his own (without fail!). The chef was fantastic. A very big thank you from us.
- All staff were extremely helpful and attentive.
- The food was also very good. There's a large selection of multiple cuisines.

Hotel & rooms: 5/5
- there was nothing to complain about.
- The large king sea-facing room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and all amenities required were available.
- The hotel pool was nice, however lacked a proper drinks menu with cocktails. You also could not take any drinks into the pool. It would have been better to provide plastic glasses so you could enjoy a drink in the pool overlooking the sea.


Overall I loved staying here. The staff and hotel amenities were great.
