Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 3 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check in.

- The name on the credit card used for the booking should correspond to the guest staying at the property. For reservations made by a third party, you will need to complete an authorization form and present a copy of the person's ID and credit card.

- Please note that for bookings of 3 rooms or single booking with more than 3 nights and above, the hotel requires a 30% prepayment upon reservation.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. the breakfast spread was good. got upgraded for better room! overall exceeded my expectation

Cons:

service from palm court restaurant. We had dinner reservation for birthday celebration, and when requested for a happy birthday on a cake after our meal, they were reluctant to write "Happy Birthday" on the cake. we requested for a candle but the staffs were puzzled. They ended up serving the cake with candle without lighting it. Totally disappointed by their service!

Very good hotel, great facilities - swimming pool in the Victory suite was amazing. Attentive staff. Great size room with turndown service, top quality bathroom
High recommend staying in this hotel, the oldest hotel in George Town.

Hotel calme, proche de George Town.
Propre, confortable, bien équipé.
Petit déjeuner au Sarkies varié mais bruyant, nous avons préféré le calme du restaurant du 6ème étage même si le choix des plats est limité au continental breakfast.
Deco colonial chic très bien pensée.

其實我們停留的時間非常短，傍晚入住，清晨就離開了。
Pros:

房間的大小非常舒服，而且還面對大海，真是令人難忘。

Cons:

其實這是兩棟建築物，報到櫃檯也不一樣，計程車把我們送到歷史建築的那棟主樓，又要我們走了幾百公尺的道路，去另一個報到櫃檯，真的讓人感到非常不可思議。希望Booking 以後再訂單上註明一下「報到櫃檯」不要讓客戶覺得很委屈的。
