Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a local government fee of MYR 3 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check in.

- The name on the credit card used for the booking should correspond to the guest staying at the property. For reservations made by a third party, you will need to complete an authorization form and present a copy of the person's ID and credit card.

Stunning historical hotel
Pros:

Stunning building, great location. Very stylish and luxurious. Beautifully designed and decorated, with well considered details. Huge rooms with great view from lovely balcony. Massive bathroom with roll top bath and dressing area. Decent breakfast. Good cocktails. Nice helpful staff. A very interesting place to stay, would definitely book again.

Cons:

We stayed in the Victory Annexe, which was beautiful and very in keeping with the original building. Very strange that it was treated as separate (different reception and pool), even though both parts of the hotel were totally cohesive - there was a bit of a ‘second class citizen’ vibe for those in the annexe that simply wasn’t necessary. Food and drinks at the pool were unusually expensive. They should change to glass water bottles in rooms - not very pleasant to drink out of thin plastic, and not in keeping with the classy branding. Needs a wall hook in the dressing room area of the bathroom.

If you like staying in heritage hotels look no further.
Pros:

This is a legacy hotel with a good location and superb atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and attentive. A good range of eating options and an excellent 6th floor pool

不值这个钱，酒店仿佛都活在上个世纪或本世纪初的幻想里，适合那些愿意打卡的旅客而非注重酒店体验的旅客。

公共设施维护还算可以

Cons:

床没有支撑度，身体内陷成轻微 v 字型睡一觉基本上腰酸背痛，枕头就更不用说了难以塑形，颈椎不友好，分配的房间是角落房有大白墙，服务员敷衍了事即便有房也不愿安排。早餐也就遗产翼这边还可以吧，胜利翼的餐厅充斥着廉价半成品，提供的热食水准也不高，整体来说，体验一般偏差。

Paradise worth returning to.
Pros:

It was in an excellent location both near the ocean and the town. The hotel itself was beautiful, a mixture of history and modern comforts. The room we had was well laid out, extremely clean, with a comfortable bed and having the balcony to sit at and view the ocean on those balmy evenings was well worth it.

Cons:

Some of the staff were a bit slow to respond and we were given incorrect information by one, which affected an external activity. (This is not to say that one or two others were amazing). However, this wasn't a real problem and would definitely not stop me returning. The overall experience was fantastic.
