I asked for a family room - double and twin beds and one of the twin beds hadn’t been made, especially upon arriving late this wasn’t great; however receptionist was very quick to rectify and polite an courteous.
Fabulous location adjacent to lake/nature reserve. Excellently maintained premises. Very relaxing break on long journey, will be booking again.

Location was perfect on our way from London to Durham. Check in was quick. Room was clean.
We came down just after 7am for breakfast — the full English was available, but the healthier options, including yogurt, had already run out. I asked and was told sorry.
Leaving during a thunderstorm, I accidentally left my water cup at reception. No one called after us, so I left a voicemail saying I’d collect it that evening.
I returned around 6pm, by which point the room should have been serviced. Yet no one mentioned my son’s phone charger and toiletries left behind — we only realised once home. Other hotels have followed up after a stay, even by post, so it’s disappointing nothing was flagged here.
Just one night but absolutely perfect - everything I needed, staff friendly and informative, check-in quick and seamless, TV options great, free coffee in the room, all facilities one could ever need (hairdryer iron ironing board wardrobe safe plentiful towels) and completely affordable. Really really happy.
The location was nice with plenty of parking available
There was a staff ar reception who was very rude and not accomodating.
Was told she was the manager. She left after our first night. After that we were ok as other staff were coperarive

The only problem we had which was our problem the postcode wasn't fully recognised by our satnav and took us to a completely different place, re our satnav requires updating!!!
