Very cheap in weekends, but a bit boring and tired
Pros:

We got a very good rate, probably as it was a weekend, and it's a business hotel in an office area outside Frankfurt. Restaurant and bar were closed, and the breakfast was adequate, but in no means exiting, and far from what we've tried in other 4 star Mercure hotels. But, for a single night it worked fine as an alternative to a motor way motel, and we might use it again for a similar purpose.

Als ich im Mercure Hotel Eschborn Süd ankam, fand ich einen Zettel vor, aus dem die folgende Info hervorging:
Unser Hotel ist geschlossen, wir sind im Urlaub. Ich musste die Nacht in einem anderen Hotel verbringen. Dadurch habe ich einen finanziellen & zeitlichen Verlust erlitten. Ich bin als Gold-Mitglied sowohl von Mercure als auch von Expedia schwer enttäuscht und überlege mir zukünftig die Dienste anderer Mitbewerber in Anspruch zu nehmen.

This hotel is fine but BE AWARE, there is NO RESTAURANT in this hotel. At the time of writing this, the listing still states that a restaurant is available. Even the information booklet in each room states the same. As dining out is very limited in Eschborn, it is a stretch to class this hotel as 4 star.

Das Frühstück hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Der Aufschnitt schmeckte nach nichts, die Salate ebenso. Die Speisekarte zum Abendessen haben wir nicht verstanden - englisches Kauderwelsch. Die Hälfte der dann ausgesuchten Gerichte gab es nicht. Der Rest ging so! Das Zimmer hatte Flair und war gut, sogar ein Wasserkocher und ein Kühlschrank war vorhanden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.
