Candlewood Suites Hopewell - Fort Lee by IHG

Great staff, very nice room. Wish we had planned a longer trip:-) They are still working on the hotel, but it didn't affect the quality of our stay. It was close to our event at the Beacon Theater and there were plenty of places to eat and get the items we forgot to bring.

Enterence area and outside area not well maintained.

This hotel is always my go-to in the area, I had a family emergency and called to cancel, Cheryl was so kind and waved the cancellation fee. Not only is this property clean and who well kept, the staff makes me keep coming back as they always go above and beyond for their guests. 100% recommend to stay in this property.

I came to Candlewood Suites with a husband newly diagnosed with terminal cancer and a 10 year old cat.

Jasmine and every member of the staff here have gone above and beyond to make this nightmare of a time bearable. When you are away from home and need angels in human form, you will find them here.

If this was just a normal vacation, I would recommend highly. The rooms are clean with good sound proofing, nice appliances and comfortable bedding. Within walking distance, there are plenty of fast food, as well as sit down restaurants, a food store, and department store.

booked this hotel through Expedia, which showed an 8.6 rating, but after staying here, I discovered that the more accurate rating is closer to the 4.1 I later saw online.

The issues started immediately. The first night, the TV didn’t work at all, and the bathtub was taped up inside—something the staff was already aware of but had not disclosed before my stay. As we were packing to leave, we spotted a roach in the room. I took pictures and brought them to the front desk. The receptionist’s response was shockingly casual—she acknowledged knowing about the bathtub situation and dismissed the roach by saying she “only saw one” in the picture, as if that was acceptable.

What I’d like most is the Free Laundry for their guests. I was able to wash our clothes before we left.

The room and staff were excellent. The location of the building has an open area parking next to an outlet mall. Security issue possible for your vehicles.

Clerks very friendly

Rooms are Not clean. Bath tub dirty. Tiles and carpet were suspect. Left the hotel after 1 hour in the room. Very disappointed for this hotel brand.

The rooms were clean, but they smelled. One of them had a portable ozone machine on the table

It was a great stay minus I booked a one bedroom and got a studio the persoat the desk stated some one called me to notify me that was not available any more… but I don’t know how if I booked months in advance it should of been available I just got a call stated if I was still coming…after I paid for the one bedroom very upsetting. When needed fresh towels we had to take the dirty towels to them they didn’t provide anything to put them in , that’s disgusting. We got new towels by asking the front office and she would hand them to us.

Under construction, but excellent customer service and clean rooms.

Loved the kitchen.
