Very nice
Well, the hotel has a great location. The wine reception was quite nice. The staff were pleasant and efficient. The room was adequate for our purposes, although, somewhat spartan. The on site parking was most ample. And the price was less than many other places in Carson City.
The website announced that the place had undergone renovations throughout the facility. It showed in many parts, but my room did not indicate that to me--older furniture, caulking around the tub/shower, etc. Breakfast was a little skimpy.
Las personas de ma recepción bien amables
No sirve el aire acondicionado
I loved the retro vibe. It's older, but definitely clean.
The rooms were very hot at night as there was no air movement. The hotel said it had free breakfast, and while they did technically provide it, it was just oatmeal packets.
We didn't eat there
We didn't like the choices
The location was easy to get to and close to museums, food and casinos
*Our room was not ready when we checked in at 5pm. They hustled to get it ready, but still not a great first experience.
*The carpeting on the second floor was torn up in a lot of places. There were signs saying that they were replacing it but they all seemed like old signs.
* We walked past the housekeeper and he was eating food while handling clean linens.
*Our room had a large water spot in the ceiling from a previous leak and had mold all over it.
* The toilet made a screaming sound when flushing.
* The bed squeaked so loudly during normal movement, often waking us during the night.
We go through Carson City NV at least twice a year. We look for an inexpensive place with a king bed, to sleep and shower. We paid a little more than usual to stay at Hardman House hotel, it offers a 'continental ' breakfast as part of the stay (Rather lack luster, no protein of any kind, I dont consider yogurt as protein) the room was dated, but clean. The bed was comfortable, but the metal frame and headboard squeaked every time you moved. TV was not simple to use. Heater worked well. Parking was ample, primarily a well lit basement parking with a serviceable elevator. Staff was wonderful and helpful.
We might stay here again, but will check out the competition.
Dilapidated building, dirty rooms and bathrooms. I stayed for three nights. Couldn't sleep first night because of stuffiness in room. Thermostat is a show piece. When I went downstairs next morning, they just casually mentioned AC is not working. This place should not exist. It needs to be demolished yesterday.

Stayed 2/13-2/15/2026. Still under remodel. Complaints about this hotel haven’t changed in years. Do not have high expectations when booking this hotel. Only 1 Elevator to underground parking (bonus). No issues. Carpet is still waiting to be replaced, iron burns on carpet, no a/c, hot room. Room & bathroom were clean. Pillows & bedding seemed clean & fairly new. Mattress was terrible. Old spring mattress. Noise was normal. Shower head hit my 6’1” husband in his chest. Plan on eating elsewhere for breakfast, unless you like old soft fruit, burnt toast, plain yogurt & awful coffee. Keys stopped working our 2nd day. Young gentleman at front desk was very kind, patient & helpful for the crap show he’s in the middle of.
Breakfast had very few options
I love this place. We've stayed before and had a wonderful experience then as well. The staff are genuinely friendly, rooms are clean and the beds are the most comfortable bed I've slept in when staying at a hotel. My husband feels he had a ghostly encounter lol but said he enjoyed that too.
