Absolute disaster
Pros:

To be honest, not very much. Hotel rooms are starting to look tired. Staff are very friendly when discussing problems but don't do very much. To be fair we were given a 2 drink voucher for having to change rooms.

Cons:

This review covers 2 visits, yes we went back! first stay was a Saturday and we were in a room directly above the function room where a disco was taking place. We endured loud music in our room way past midnight. We were never warned at booking that we might experience this discomfort. I complained online and after acknowledgement heard nothing. Contacted hotel manager who offered us a small discount for another stay. Contacted to take up offer and heard nothing again. 2nd visit heating was broken, moved to another room and double glazing was compromised and listened to sirens and dogs barking at various points in the night. Second day put sign on door to have room refreshed. Came back later to find not touched, no clean towels. Complained and told you have to put sign out before Midnight before. We are Revolution members back that didn't matter. Have stayed at Village hotels throughout UK but never again. Visiting Bolton next week and are booked into a real hotel at Last Drop. Village hang your head in shame, total unprofessional and hotel not fit for purpose. Wonder if I'll ever hear from them. Doubt it, it's all about profit and sod the customer. Oh and breakfast was a joke. We arrived to find a huddle of disgruntled guests holding empty plates. Food had run out and there seemed to be a long wait before they were replenished. We turned on our heel and went next door to the pub that serves breakfast. You couldn't make this up! Made Fawlty Towers look good. Anyway never again.
