Restaurant (separate business) was superb and had an unadvertised breakfast special for guests of the hotel.
We had a ground floor room next to the restaurant. Therefore it was sometime noisy. Also ground floor rooms in the tropics are always a little musty.
Beautiful scenery; restaurant excellent; pool nice and staff was great
My best friend and I stayed at Cobalt Coast Resort mainly because we wanted a relaxing trip with easy access to scuba diving, and this place ended up being a great fit. Having the dive shop right on the property made everything super simple, and the staff were really friendly and easy to work with.
The resort itself is in a beautiful, quiet spot on the island. The food and drinks at the resort were great. Like everywhere else in Grand Cayman, things are definitely on the expensive side, but that seems pretty normal for the area.
It is not close to the main parts of town, so taxi rides add up fast. We didn’t mind too much since we mainly came to dive and relax, but it is something I would recommend planning in advance for. Several parts of the property were being renovated during our stay, but we never heard any noise from it.
Overall, we had a really nice time and left feeling relaxed and happy with our stay. If you’re looking for a calm, low-key place with easy diving access, Cobalt Coast is worth considering.
The property manager was on-site on an irratic schedule. Property manager was not on-site when I arrived although she was scheduled to be on-site until 5P; I arrived around 4P. The electronic lock on the door to the room had to be reporgrammed from the code provided in a text message to me. Overall, if it weren't for the wonderful staff of the adjoining restaraunt I would have rated my stay far worse.
We liked the location. The restaurant below was a nice perk as was the dive shop next door. Our room was clean and quiet and the decor lovely, expecially the wallpaper. It was nice having a couple of small refrigerators. The beds and furniture were quite comforable.
The room overlooked a restaurant roof, so there was no view of the shoreline from the living room which would have been obscured anyway by the cloudy window. There were no placemats, coffee filters, or adequate lighting in the living room. Though there were two TV's in the accomodation, they didn't seem to be operable. Three of the bureau drawers in one of the bedroom's were extremely warped and would not close or open properly, though the remaining drawers were functional. There were no placemats for the table and a few napkins would have been nice. No coasters were provided or coffee filters. No instructions provided on how to operate the TV. The bed pillows were huge and uncomforable and the sheets quite worn with a bit of stain as well.
Love the room, very cozy and cute! The beach access is pretty convenient, just watch out for the ocean floor as it’s pretty rocky. This hotel is a bit out of the way, so not much to do around.
Thank you to the reservation team and the local Rep. Poppy, for all your assistance in making a birthday weekend special.
Our room was exceptional. The design and amenities were easy to access and the views breathtaking.
Our check in was easy due to clear and timely information sharing.
Will we be booking again? YES !
Beautiful stay and lovely services
Nice, quiet location. Divetech onsite can be a plus if you are diving. Nice shore dives and snorkel.
Hotel is a little old; had some sewer gas smell come about (was told this is normal in Caymans). Hotel also under construction which was a little noisy. Pool and hot tub were great.
Hotel manager Poppy was really nice. She did her best to accommodate.
Restaurant on site was very nice and delicious. A little expensive. But it’s the Caymans
Would stay again for the value.
This is a nice property but they only offer to clean your room if you stay longer than 6 days. There isn't an offer for daily garbage pickup or towel exchange. We had an issue with our door that didn't lock. The handyman couldn't fix it, but our neighbor in the room next to us managed to figure it out. It is a nice property but lacks basic services.
Stayed
The only drawback is no breakfast and taking island Go like Uber is very expensive to get to seven mile beach! Other than perfect stay
we stayed here for a week at the end of June. We had a great stay, the 3rd floor rooms are nicely renovated and very well air conditioned. I would highly recommend renting a car if you do stay here because it is a bit of a distance from other local attractions. We dove with the onsite dive shop and it could not have been more convenient. the onsite restaurant is also excellent. Everyone on staff at this property is super friendly and helpful.
Great time celebrating a friend's 40th birthday! Initial air conditioning issue with our room, which Poppi gave full attention and resolved quickly. Nova restaurant/bar staff were overly attentive addressing us by name from the first meeting. Can't thank Barney (not Stanley Tucci!), Gregor, and Erin enough!!!
The hotel was lovely, the room well kept. The true highlight of this was the management. Poppy was amazing, best and most knowledgeable host you could ask for. With recommendations and crucial knowledge of the Grand Cayman. The hotel beach is also gorgeous.
This resort is beautiful, quaint, and hidden in a quiet area of Grand Cayman. The service is over the top, the restaurant is delicious, the drinks were tasty and the amenities perfect. The rooms were the perfect size with great views! The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and gave great suggestions for dinner options, snorkeling, and other excursions.
Great service and enthusiasm from the staff. Food from the bar and restaurant was fabulous with a wide variety of choices. Room was clean and the views were well worth it. Looking forward to the next stay.
