The room was clean.
There was no coffee, sugar at the coffee station as indicated there would be
The property is poorly maintained
The road going inside is bad not suitable for small cars
Breakfast was great with friendly service
Left a single towel in the room for two guests
Doors in the room would not close so kept closed with random towels stuffed into the openings
Basically non-existent water pressure in the shower
Leaking toilet inlet
Property basically inaccessible without an offroad vehicle due to the poor condition of the road
I liked the surroundings
I checked out with 5 days to spare. I tried to power through because I had paid in advance, but just couldn’t do the whole stay.
Cleanliness was a big issue. I never felt like I was in a clean space. Dirty dirty walls.
The food wasn’t good. Definitely overpriced for how basic it was. When I say I cook better at home it’s no word of a lie. (Room service) lasagne with no bechamel, a glob of melted cheese covering it, and dry mince? Over R150 bro. Wimpy was better.
I found myself sleeping on top of the duvet covered in a blanket from home, head-to-toe. There were unidentifiable stains. Even after the “cleaning” staff came in.
This is a 4 Star hotel on their website by the way... they’re lying, your honour. This just wasn’t a 4 star experience in any way.
Very disappointing but at least now I know where not to go.
The staff where amazing.,the restaurant and bar was good, there's a special lady that made my birthday fantastic. She was amazing ,she set up our table and took us pictures..,I would come back just for her service
The tables and dining not clean for breakfast, the cutlery dusty ,the food was cold .the rooms are too dark
The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.
Swimming pool was full of leaves and green stuff at the bottom. No place to put towels, soap and walls aren't sound proof.
Our room was perfectly located. Close to both the kitchen/pool area and the parking, which made everything super convenient. No unexpected “visitors” (reptiles included 😄), the lighting was great, and overall everything was 100%.
Breakfast? Absolutely amazing 10/10.
Dinner was just as impressive at 9/10.
A special shoutout to Andrew, our waiter for the weekend, his service was exceptional. The chef and kitchen staff were also incredibly friendly and made sure we were well looked after throughout our stay.
While most of our stay was fantastic, one downside was the noise level in the restaurant on Saturday evening. Unfortunately, it wasn’t well managed and ended up feeling more like a nightclub than a fine dining experience, which took away from the overall atmosphere.
Great staff. We'll priced. Great escape from Joburg
Road into facility not graded.
The cleanliness of the accommodation and the fresh air from the wild trees
The fact that self catering is not there
The place is gorgeous. Beautiful landscapes.
The beds were a bit too hard. Left with a sore back. The spa was out of order and they said they only had one therapist on site, which meant we couldn't get a session as they could only do one person at a time.
As always, the breakfast is best. The buffet option always allows for variety and one to pick and choose.
The room was okay and met our expectations. We really felt welcome. The staff is always so friendly and ready to assist where needed.
N/A
The staff, especially the host that checked us in
The complimentary room upgrade
Nothing
Staff, nature and the food all were excellent.
The gravel road to the premises and it was raining it was so bad.too much moisture in the rooms especially the rondavels
Location
Disappointing experience.
The food quality and taste were poor, it simply wasn't to our liking.
More importantly, we found scorpions on the premises.
A young child in our group was bitten and we had to rush them to Bela-Bela hospital for emergency treatment. A major safety concern for families
