The bus pickup at the Dubai mall was confusing. We waited at the designated spot and was looking for the bus. At the end, we saw the bus passing us and departing.

Beware of Scam Barbershop at Dusit Thani Dubai
Pros:

I recently stayed at Dusit Thani Dubai. While the hotel itself was pleasant—clean rooms, helpful staff, and a comfortable atmosphere—my experience was soured by a dishonest encounter at the barbershop inside the hotel.

I requested a specific grooming service, but the staff deliberately performed additional treatments I did not ask for, aggressively upselling without consent. When finished, I was shocked by a bill of 775 AED. There was no visible price list, and they added a 5% charge claiming it was a “Dubai tax.” I initially wasn’t given a receipt—only a card slip. After insisting, I was handed a receipt under a completely different business name.

This all happened in front of the manager and owner of the barbershop, who remained silent. It felt like a deliberate scam targeting unsuspecting hotel guests.

I reported the incident to hotel reception, and the hotel manager followed up personally and showed genuine concern, which I truly appreciated. However, the existence of such a vendor within a respected hotel like Dusit Thani undermines guest trust.

In summary, the hotel is lovely, but my stay was tainted by a deceptive and unethical barbershop operating on the premises. I urge hotel management to reconsider their association with this business to protect future guests.
