We have used Holiday Inn Express and have never been disappointed.
Pros:

We were able to check in early. We had a wedding we had to get ready for.

Cons:

There was only one person when we checked in and she was new and VERY slow. Again we had to get ready for a wedding and didn't have a lot of time.

Pros:

Great bedding, clean, excellent room darkening shade. The lighted mirror in the bathroom was the best I've ever seen. Wish I had that at home!

Cons:

The heater thermostat kept clicking as if trying to turn on for a few minutes before it finally cycled back on but not bad enough to keep us awake for long.

Great hotel with handicapped shower issues,
Pros:

The hotel is in a very nice location. It has a good breakfast. The downside to our experience was the shower in room 303. It is a handicapped room with a roll in shower. The shower totally flooded the bathroom floor with water running into the room and soaking the carpet. If you were very careful this did not happen. The drain in the shower area is nearly flat with no slop for water to drain. The water also does not flow into the floor drain the the bathroom. This water issue is an accident waiting to happen! We used towels to keep the water in the shower which helped.
