Clean
Nothing
The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very kind.
Location of property was nice. Enjoyed the quiet area. Was able to walk around and site see. Having a restaurant on site was enjoyable as well.
No microwave in room to heat up leftovers. No exhausted fan in bathroom for when showering.
It’s historic
Very run down, FILTHY pool, staff acts like you’re bothering them if you go to them with a question.
The location is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the staff were nice and the food at the restaurant was very good. It was a nice place to stay for the price!
The bathroom in our guest room had multiple hairs on the floor and in the tub, very noticeable hairs that should have been cleaned up by housekeeping prior to releasing the room to be assigned to a guest.
This is a beautiful property, very nice grounds and the hospitality was excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the hostess made sure that we had everything we wanted. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable.
It was a little challenging to find our way around the grounds since we arrived after dark.
Pool and room sizes
Location was further from amenities than thought
Love the facility and the grounds! Off the main streets in a quiet setting. Very peaceful!
The room was beautiful but could use a little more care in dusting the spots not normally touched. Top and back of TV was dusty and behind the night stand had remnants of trash.
the gardens and the outdoors
my mattress was horrible, the rooms are old and it does not seem clean
Beautiful property, buildings, landscaping. Looks like a mini college landscaping. Unique .
At check in we thought we had booked an old classic hotel For a steal! Given the price I shouldn’t complain too much but the reviews I read were so good I felt I had to be honest because I was disappointed .
Dirty , outdated , Not kept up. Empty, isolated , strange vibes.
Pool is Missing tiles. Hot tub was covered and not open in spite of being mid July. Towels provided are more like dish rags. Like a baby towel. Smelliest elevator ever to get to the pool. Staircase down no better. Doors are all dinged up all over hotel. Whole place needs a good trim sanding and touch up. In spite of being totally empty (I guess this is typically a conference center and wedding venue though there were None at the time), it seemed all rooms booked were on a half sub ground / basement level facing the parking lot. Ugliest view in entire property . Bedding clean and comfortable , rooms spacious , but bathrooms outdated . Just a shower liner provided . Dirtiest hairdryer ever!! Has no one checked this? Caked on dirt and full of old lint and dust so gross!! Doors supposed to lock at 10 but by 1030 not locked. Felt a little unsafe given how few people were at the property.
You feel like you are a part of history, although what that historical connection is, is not well described. The room and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was good.
The hotel is an historic building and I could feel the history. I would have preferred a newer hotel, however. The curtain was torn. It was difficult to locate, even having the address. There is no signage for "Registration" to signal that it is the place to get started with finding your room. It doesn't even show as a Hilton Hotel, so it makes the first time guest think he is arriving at another historic building or museum. I was confused and we were leaving the grounds. We stopped, made a phone call, got better directions, and found the registration building.
The restaurant was overpriced for our need.
The layout of the property was pretty however once you get inside it was very aged
Don't like the fact that the jacuzzi is still advertised but staff share the jacuzzi has not worked in years and inside the elevator is extremely old dirty carpet and you felt like you were going to fall.
