Hotel is very dated.
This was in a sketchy area downtown, next to a deserted lot - which was my view after booking the king suite with city view room - my room was on the second floor which was about 5 steps above ground level. There was no AC and the curtains did not black out. NOTHING like the photos or description. Do not recommend.
Service at check in was horrible. The hotel is very dated. Service at checkout was excellent. Had the service been that good throughout, I would have been more tolerant of the facility.
It is a small hotel in downtown Anchorage, the person who help us was very nice but the place is not in good condition
We stayed in this “boutique” hotel as it calls itself after flying 9.5 hours to get to Alaska. We pulled up to the hotel and couldn’t believe how bad it looked. My wife wanted to go somewhere else. I went in and the girl at check-in who was very nice let me look at the room before doing anything else. This place is looks like it was more of a boarding house where somehow they shoe horned in a bathroom. There were no chairs to sit in because the room was too small. The bathroom was so small the sink was only about 18 inches wide, no place to set any of your things. The tub had mold on it where it met the floor and wall. We were dead tired and so was the room. Wouldn’t stay there again.
Good location. Nice size rooms and beds. Small bathroom in this room.
I liked how tall the shower head was to cater to tall people. I liked the area that the hotel was in by a park. I liked the comfortable bed and the price. The picture of the hotel should be updated because it must have been painted recently. I suggest that a flyer should be at the airport. I called several hotels at the airport that were over $200 before I went to expedia to find your hotel at 9pm at night.
The building is old, breakfast was a disappointment, location is close to everything in downtown, which is good. Free parking is good. I think the hotel is overpriced. the staff is excellent, they were all friendly.
We stayed here for one night when Anchorage was experiencing a heatwave. The room was small and stifling. We just couldn't breathe. Luckily they had a larger, cooler room which they moved us to - they were very helpful and sympathetic.
The best thing about the hotel was that it was such a miserable place that we left as soon as we woke up and didn’t return until we were ready for bed. We saw a lot more of Anchorage than we night have if the hotel had been nicer and conducive to relaxing.
Extremely small rooms, queen bed was a full at the most, no AC, windows were old and fogging and my city view was the parking lot. $170 a night and I was completely disappointed!
It’s close to the mall and downtown entertainment. Only bad thing is there is no AC in the rooms.
The room was cozy, and a bit hot and stuffy inside but it did the job. Only problem we really had was that the comforter had what we think was blood or some other nasty mark on it. When I called the front desk they asked if I wanted a new one...of course I want a new one. A new CLEAN one.
The curtains did not cover the windows very well. Window was stuck in the open position. And, the wi-fi was so slow that I was never able to get past my home page. They should not say that they offer wi-fi because it is so slow that it is not functional. TV was kluge at best.
Convenient to downtown. Rooms are a bit dated, could use a paint job. Upgrade the TV package to include more channels.
Big painting job, so no windows
Hotel is in a good location and staff are friendly. Facilities are very old. The city views weren't there and our queen bed turned out to be a double bed. The website mentioned a complimentary shuttle bus from the airport but this was not available. Suitable place for one or 2 nights due to location.
Terrible. Tiny rooms.. the breakfast provided is pathetic.
Nice stay
