Sun and Sand Resort Oceanfront Suites

Unclean and need to be upgraded.

The pictures are not true. We were supposed to be on the ground floor but they gave our room away. There was black mold in the bathroom, exposed wires, holes in the walls, the refrigerator didn’t get cold, the ac leaked durning the night and flooded the living room area, there was what looked like seamen on the bedding, it was dirty, the pull out couch had rips and burn marks all over it. I didn’t feel comfortable touching anything. We only rented it for one night as we were going to my granddaughters birthday party and planned to go back home the next day. I will never stay there again. During checkout as we told the front desk clerks she couldn’t care less. Oh and I can’t forget about the bullets In the parking garage.

Dirty, not well maintained,

The air conditioning didn't make it to the bedroom. One elevator for the whole property. Parking was tricky.

Just about everything else the staff was horrendous. Upon arriving I witnessed a woman getting harassed by maintenance. After departing the ramshackle lobby, I work up the courage to start the journey to my room. I should have taken the filthy elevator and hallways as red flags, but chose to be hopeful. Disregarding my screaming neighbors, I walked into a room with sand-covered floors, a broken couch, and a back sliding glass door with the security latch ripped off the wall.

I requested a refund and was offered another room in the same condition. Declining that offer, the manager refused to refund me for a two-night stay where I stayed neither night.

By far the most unprofessional staff, and the most disgusting/unsafe facilities in the city.

Big big black mold on the ceiling so we asked to change room. Dripping faucets all night long. doors didn’t close all the way. The it was not the most clean place at all. Other people asked us did we get bitten because they did. Last it was scary. We had the least problem compared to other guess we ran it to. We were to scared to stay another night

The beds were stained, there was no breakfast like it says on the website, we didnt get told about the pool until after we checked out, the rooms arent not like the pictures on the website, our sliding door to the balcony was broke, the beds squeaked, coffee maker had molded coffee packets in it. Front desk staff was rude

They advertised a pool and the day we checked it they told us there was no pool for this season. I booked this hotel with the impression there was a pool included. So I probably won’t stay there again but I still had a good experience.

I did not like the property at all. Very dirty. The bed were very hard made noise, the bed sheets and blankets had blood stain. It was disgusting .But I made a reservation last minute for Labor Day. What can I expect.

There was a little inconvenience with communication. My husband had emergency heart surgery. With anticipation that he will not be able to get to the Sun and Sand hotel personally, I made sure I communicated with the property through “message the property “. Got the reply it was noted and will be allowed to assign it to another person, it took awhile before they were allowed. They almost go back home to FarmVille Virginia, which is 3.5 hours drive. However, we loved the convenience of the location and the room was clean and roomy for 5 people. Will definitely consider staying there again.
