Poor attitude provided to people who have travelled all the way from Australia to visit New Orleans after such a long trip and the fatigue.
Would absolutely not recommend!

The hotel was a complete let down. The hotel itself was dirty. You can hear everything from your neighbors beside and below you. The valet parking situation was a nightmare. The workers are unfriendly and do not communicate properly. We received a text that our vehicle was ready but it was not. We waited over 45 minutes for the workers to get our car. When I tried to discuss with the hotel staff they said they were unaffiliated even though the valet has “AC Hotels” on the front. They also charge $60 per night for this service. I will never be staying at the AC New Orleans and I definitely won’t be recommending it
Great place to stay. The location is very convenient and the hospitality was amazing. We enjoyed our room and the hotel amenities. Highly recommended.
I am a longtime Marriott customer and Gold Elite member who just stayed at this hotel for the second time, for 4 nights this time. It was a bad experience that was made worse by the dismissive nature by the operations manager to my feedback. This person was both defensive and dismissive when I contacted them to share my experience. Here is the rundown:
- air conditioning in room was broken when we arrived.
- there was no shower gel in the bathroom (2 shampoo and 1 conditioner). Nobody bothered to mount the bottle on the wall.
- I paid extra for a sofa bed which was not made up when we arrived. My daughter never got a blanket until the 4th time I asked and she was very cold the first night and did not sleep well.
- the wrist band policy and $15 charge for lost bands was punitive and greedy. I was fully supportive of security, but a charge for a lost piece of paper is ridiculous.
- I could not get a late check out despite being a gold member. This was abruptly rejected and I still saw others checking out later than 11 am with no issues. I was stupid enough to follow the rules even though I am supposed to be eligible for late check out.
- I had to bring my 7 bags myself into a room on the left side of the lobby and the employee told me to come in the room to bring them (board room type place). When picking them up I followed the employee who snapped at me that I cold not be in the room, which made no sense since the prior employee told me to come in.
- my room wasn’t made up until after 4 pm on our last day even though we were out of the room for about 7 hours from 9:30 am.

Truly enjoyed my experience at the AC and by simply walking in I can tell that management has a focus on guest engagement. Staff is friendly, rooms are superior in cleanliness and decor. Food is simply put… amazing! This will be my go-to whenever I travel back to New Orleans. AC Team and Leadership, thank you for an incredible experience for my family and myself and we will definitely be back!
