It was a nice breakfast. Place was very clean. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was great!
The pool was crystal clear and clean. The room was very clean with ample towels for all 5 of us. The breakfast was very good. We were given a list of about a dozen foods to choose from: scrambled eggs, sausage, homemade muffins and homemade scones, yogurts, juices. I had eggs and a homemade muffin. And coffee. They were delicious. Also the landscaping was beautiful. Flowers everywhere and a bubbling brook right behind the lodge. Also our family played fooseball in the evening. Another big plus for our outdoorsy family was that the drive to Smugglers Notch was just 5 minutes up the road. That was a phenomenal experience! We drove to the end and parked and we walked around, took some pictures and did some hiking on Mt Mansfield, the tallest mountain in Vermont. My grandsons (ages 9 and 19) loved it. So did we! Another big plus was that Mountainops store was located 1/4 mile away. They had bike rentals for the recreation path. The entrance to the bike path was right behind Mountainops. We rode the trail which is located between a brook/river and Stowe Village. It was 5.5 miles. We did it in just over an hour. It was awesome! The bikes were in excellent condition. There was also horseback riding. We didnt have time for that. If we come back, we would do that, too. It is a 45 minute guided horseriding experience. We were invited to check out the horses in the barn even though we didnt have time to ride the horses. Anyway, Northern Lights Lodge was located close to everything we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend it.
I loved everything.
First time staying in a lodge. It was rustic as expected, but VERY clean. Bathrooms were spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great experience!
Could use some vegetarian options on the breakfast menu.
The room was very comfortable, reminding me of a cozy cabin feel. Internet service was reliable, the breakfast was amazing, and everyone was very friendly.
Idyllisch gelegen, geräumige Zimmer, sauber
Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen
Very clean and the grounds were well kept
Location, room was comfortable, nice pools, very good breakfast
There wasnt anything we didnt like
Very clean, cute room. While you can hear everything in the hallway, I could not hear my neighboring room while inside my room. As a nervous traveler, the reception area was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away.
Due to the age of the building, every footstep can be heard happening in the hallway. Luckily since it is not a nightlife town, most noise ends by 11. That said, on my second night, for almost an hour (9-10pm) children were running up and down the hall on and off. It created very loud booming. Signs to remind parents to control their children and to remind guests to be curteous of others would be beneficial, I think. There was also no clear instructions on how to ring the front desk to alert them of the issue.
Basic but clean rooms. Great location if you are hiking Mt Mansfield which is almost walking distance to trailhead. There is a river in back and the breakfast is good. The price was very reasonable.
Everything was fne.
Close to downtown Stowe
Breakfast was excellent, made fresh per customer. The staff was wonderful and truly a family owned property. The location could not have been any better. The creek running behind the property was our favorite relaxation spot.
