Nice place. Our 3rd times already. We stayed in one of the lodge. Not far from Dublin.

I just wanted to leave a review for our experience at the restaurant during our stay back in February the hotel was so cosy room very clean only thing is the toilet blocked and almost over flooded however restaurant was the best experience we had Antoniela as a host and Vladimir as a waiter she was an absolute star and Vladimir so kind and patient. I would return just for the restaurant and staff thanks. 8/10 experience ⭐️

Loved the stay in the Johnston house hotel. Spent 2 hours in the spa and then had a meal in the bar. We were served by Nixon and Emma and they were so attentive and polite. They gave great recommendations and the meal we had was excellent. We would definitely come back and have already recommended it to my friends!

Had a great meal at the coach bar, thanks to Emma and nickson with their great customer service and professionalism giving us an amazing welcome and overall experience,would defiently recommend amazing food and amazing staff. Thanks guys !

Myself and my family went for dinner in the bar today and I had a really great experience and just wanted to highlight the excellent service we received. Nixon and Emma were our servers, and they were both absolutely fantastic throughout. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and they really added to the overall atmosphere of the place.

Their professionalism and warm approach didn’t go unnoticed — they’re a real credit to the team. I’d definitely come back again!!!

Myself and my fiancé organised our engagement dinner here through Michelle and the service was absolutely excellent from start to finish. Michelle made everything so easy for us. The food was absolutely delicious, and after the meal although the restaurant closed we were invited to sit upstairs where there was lots of space for the kids to run around safely, and they sent staff up to order drinks from. Overall a brilliant experience and would highly recommend to anyone!

We had an good night away just disappointing for a four star hotel. Check in was 4pm but we were told the room wasn’t ready at 4pm and that they’d ring us in half an hour, didn’t even get a sorry for this, ended up being 5pm before we got into room.
Spa was lovely and dinner was lovely with great service.
Went for breakfast at 9:30 and was faced with a queue coming out of the restaurant. We were then told to take a seat in the lobby while they got a table ready, along with everyone else in the hotel. They offered tea and coffee in the bar, but still had to wait over half an hour. When we actually got into the restaurant, there were so many empty tables, with the rest of the hotel sitting waiting in the lobby. Was a very strange experience.

Ashley served us at the wedding on Saturday. We were all delighted with her speed and attentiveness. She is the best!!

Stayed for an overnight spa break and it was lovely, Caoimhe who did my full body massage was excellent, she was so professional and really cared about your experience, the massage was bliss!!

Attended a wedding here on Saturday night. The bar staff were lovely, especially Ashley. She was great fun and a very efficient bartender! Johnstown sure now how to choose their staff!

Anú tara abbey and the manager Amy and Ileana, have been so unbelievably inclusive towards me. 5 stars for curtisy and professionalism. Anú was extra attentive and kind and such a beautiful smile

Food was superb and staff very friendly

It was just a very average experience for a very expensive price. I think we spent €800 for 2 night stay
The food was very average in the main fire restaurant and the bar was better but it was bar food quality. All the extras made the bill very expensive for the quality and the food was out way too fast, just wasn't a great experience.
The bed was very uncomfortable in our room and you could hear every word in the corridors, they did kindly move us for the 2nd night
The bar itself is certainly not a bar, its a overflow restaurant and after we had our dinner, we had nowhere to sit, which was just unbelievable. It was Mothers Day, ill at least give them that.

The breakfast was fine, but charging extras for a half decent coffee at a 4 star hotel was really poor.

The staff were excellent and plenty of them around at all times. The facilities were good.

Its a nice hotel, but for the price, I wouldn't go back

Beautiful short stay. Staff couldn’t have been nice or more attentive from check in, to table service and phone enquiries, they were fantastic! The room was gorgeous and amazing to access the leisure centre before an early check out as it’s open at 6am.

Oisín waiter and Oisín cocktail maker deserve a special mention. They couldn’t have been nicer!

Terrible staff not once were we asked for drinks had to get them myself and we have 2 kids under 2 our hands was quite full they landed out with a starter which was chicken wings no silverware or napkins on the table just left them there and walked away. When mains came never even give us more napkins knowing they where used from the starters. Sat for ages then with empty plates in front of us then I had to get up get drinks again myself and order dessert at the bar because nobody bothered with us at all. Food was very good couldn't be faulted. Also paid for an executive king room and tvs don't even have apps can't even let the oldest kind watch her programs.

We hosted a hen party at the weekend for a large group & it was fantastic. We had a private dining room and our server Ashley couldn’t have been more amazing. She went above and beyond and was an absolute delight!

The four of us travelled down to have the full spa experience and we were not disappointed! It was a lovely place to unwind and be pampered. I got the hot stone treatment, Maggie was incredible. Spending time with the family is magic when you feel looked after. Everything was catered for and went smoothly as can be. Oisin served our table at dinner and was very courteous. He had a cheerful disposition which meant we could even ask for a cushion for our Nana’s chair. We are thrilled with our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Was here last Mother’s Day and loved it. Great experience this Mothers Day! Oisin served us lunch and drinks, was very kind and helpful. A credit to the staff! And made it an even better experience!

Oisin gave absolutely 5 star service for our lunch and even better in the bar in the evening, made the whole experience 10/10. Hotel and spa is amazing made the whole experience so enjoyable to celebrate Mother’s Day.
