Wonderful old inn with its own restaurant serving quality food. Restaurant specials and package options for meals, made it very convenient i.e. not having to go looking for meals elsewhere.

My husband and I were finally able to stay The Middlebury Inn during Middlebury College's Febuary graduation weekend. It was lovely. I love the convenient location in town and its proximity to campus. If my son didn't graduate, we'd be back next year.
Excellent service and accommodations. Stayed in the motel section. Very roomy. Excellent burger and service in restaurant. Very nice to extend check out for 2 hours for business reasons.
Great location, classic old school decor. Room very clean with excellent shower water pressure. Unfortunately, the room was very hot. I thought that if I dial down the temperature, that it would just stop the heater from turning on as it was at the programmed temp, but it relentlessly heated. Very convenient location to walk to downtown and restaurants. Recommend!
Visiting family for a baptism. We went skiing. Had Haymaker buns. Shopped at the co-op. Tried all the little
Coffee shops. Tavern was delicious. Ate at Mad Taco. Wonderful little town.

The Middlebury Inn (main building) is wonderful and an easy stroll to campus. It is quiet at night for excellent sleep, too.
The Middlebury Inn is gorgeous. If you appreciate a historic hotel that's filled with character this is the place for you. It's conveniently located in the center of Middlebury and it only takes a few minutes to walk to shops and restaurants. The Inn is located on a busy roundabout. We had breakfast at the Inn each day and our meals were delicious (we included breakfast when booking). Our room was cozy and nicely appointed. My favorite spot was the lobby where there was plenty of comfortable seating and soft music playing. It was a perfect place to relax.
We especially appreciated the hotel's policy re. handicapped accessibility - everything from the reservationist's knowledge of issues in this area to the specific layout and proportions of the room A model for what good hotels should be following instinctively. But do not always.
It’s an old hotel that has great charm. Location can’t be beat. Staff and service are great. We always enjoy our stay.
Our daughter attends Middlebury College and we were finally able to stay at the Middlebury Inn while visiting. We loved the relaxed nature of the Middlebury Inn, and the perfect location for walking everywhere.
The location is excellent, but the carpet, furniture and beds are dated. The service is not at a professional level, at the front desk or in terms of housecleaning (we ran out of tissues, toliet paper, had to ask to have the garbage removed, etc.).

Their staff works together like clock work. They run it like it’s their own home. They take great pride in welcoming you to the Middlebury area. It is a very historic structure with time tested stories to tell.
Middlebury Inn is a lovely old inn set in a college town in the lovely green mountains, with excellent service. We stay here as it is a convenient place while we visit family in the area. The original part of the inn is beautiful. We've stayed in 2 different rooms our past 2 visits in the annex where dogs are allowed for a reasonable $25/night. unfortunately, the cleanliness these rooms was not up to the rest of the inn's standards and need a good refreshing of rugs and couches, our only reason for a lower rating. We will, regardless return.
Excellent service, warm and cozy atmosphere, great location, restaurant is good, and the Thursday evening jazz duo was a treat!
