The staff here were lovely, and very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is very very basic. Small rooms, very old, not great at all but it did seem clean. You get what you pay for, and we all know that. £50 a night for somewhere to sleep with a lock on the door and a shower. That’s it.
Decent stay,it got the job done
The hotel was cheap & looked it .Grounds were overgrown and uncared for. Facilities were dated & worn. Rooms were small,as were beds, and not well equipped.
No glasses, only one set of towels, leak from bathroom above. There were no breakfast facilites available. Loud TV late into early morning from adjacent room..Receptionist tried to be helpful.
Do not stay here, dirty beyond belief. Walked out and stayed somewhere else. Mold on windows, holes in the wall, paint peeling off the walls, sheets so thin you could see the mattresses. No towels provided. Shouldn't be on any sites advertising the premises. Environmental health would have a field day. I later learnt it housed refugees. Poor them!!!
Room was smelly look outdated window broken. Toilet has stains , sink was cracked, the mattress in the bed super confutable. I had kettle but no complementary tea of coffee, Tv not turned on,
Absolutely by far the worst hotel I’ve ever booked ( didn’t say stayed at because I didn’t) terrible facilities, dirty and musky smelling.
Worst hotel I've ever been to. I left after 4 room changes, and got a travel lodge. Unwashed sheets, smelly, holes in walls, TVs stolen, floor tiles and bath broken, smoke stains, wallpaper falling off walls, drug taking and begging at entrance. Not safe for lone female. Don't stay here
Great service. Excellent friendly staff.
Ropey
Honestly this may just be the worst hotel ive ever stayed in, i xant really uhderstand how its allowed to remain open given the state of the rooms. The door barely locked, walls were the paper, carpet was absolurely disgusting with black marks and flees. Do not stay here
There was nothing to like as I was told on arrival that my booking had been cancelled
Avoid like the plague. This place is in dire need of TLC. The place looks as bad inside as it does out. It’s unclean and smells. It is not fit to be a hotel. Awful awful place.
Absolutely nothing staff tried to put in 2 different rooms of which neither locked and said it was ok they had camera's in the corridors
Very dated and tired property bed was not comfortable didn’t sleep well
Needs updating ware and tare is showing now, Check before booking one of their hotels doesn't except Uk residents its full of refugees Haydock
Tv broken, no cups or anything to make a brew, curtain poll has been ripped down
The worst hotel I have ever attended.
The room felt unsafe. The door did not effectively close, heavily rattling when closed and with a poor quality door, handle and lock.
The room was dirty throughout, with stained carpets and bedding which felt bug ridden.
The room also comprised of several internal rooms, all of which were sparse, with eery cupboards. Additionally, an unlockable attic hatch within one of the rooms sealed the unsafe and uncomfortable feel.
To provide a visual concept, it looked and felt like a hostel room from a horror movie.
When approaching staff members to explain of the poor condition it was apparent they were purely awaiting the complaint.
Staff effectively nodded their head when I explained my concerns, offered no solution, and stated that I would have to complain to Expedia.
This is the only hotel I have ever checked out of within one hour of checking in.
The only way this hotel should be allowed to open is if it were to rebrand as a ghost hunting experience or an elaborate escape room.
Property was okay but simple maintenance needed in the bathroom as floor tiles were broken and also the toilet tiles were coming off, staff were great with helping with a remote issue, all in all it was a okay budget stay
Horrendous
Flood in the middle of the night so evacuating guests rooms filthy services non existent
Hostel ? Definitely not a hotel
The staff were friendly, the beds comfortable and rooms clean. Nice big rooms which is great with kids.
The photos of the hotel are misleading, it is now very rundown, everything works but refurbishment is long overdue. You get what you pay for :-)
