Great for children, inconsistent service quality
Pros:

The location was good and it was family friendly for children specifically

Cons:

The service especially at the reception was inconsistent. Some were rude and non responsive, the cleaning staff entered my room while I was in the shower once. However the restaurant staff was very kind and welcoming.

Slip hazard! Be careful!
Pros:

We had a very unfortunate experience here. The bathtub in our room (as well as others’ rooms) is extremely slippery and my friend had a fall in the tub. As seen here, there is an alarm pull, which makes it appear that the hotel is aware of this situation. The solution that was offered was to give us an anti-slip mat (pictured) and to go to the hospital. We asked to file an incident report, and were not given the opportunity to do so. We were told that an internal log report would be made, but our request to have a copy of that report was denied.

Cons:

Limited TV channels only in Italian and only one English channel which was BBC News … for a world branded trademark hotel I expected there to be more English channels available i.e. movie channels for a rainy / cold day

A wonderful home base in Sorrento
Pros:

We had an amazing few days in Sorrento with the Hilton as our home base. At the top of a hill made it much more quiet than anything on the main street in town, but a bit of a walk with a stroller and kids. The indoor pool was magical - with shallow grottos for our little ones and a wide expanse for lap swimming. The breakfast buffet is the kind of thing you long for on family vacations - something for everyone and some local flair. We had first floor garden rooms with a view of the on site citrus grove. Much of the hotel (outdoor pools and outdoor restaurant) was still closed for the winter season, which certainly made the hotel more affordable.

Very clean and comfortable stay with excellent breakfast and lovely staff
Pros:

Clean & comfortable rooms, lovely gardens, excellent breakfast, indoor pool, good food, great staff. There is a bus that goes from Sorrento Grande Marina up to the hotel so look up the timetable!

Cons:

Loud hallways outside the rooms so you hear people going past late at night. Walk to town ( that was very manageable for us at Easter when it’s not too hot).

Pros:

Everybody was very friendly. We were very grateful the indoor pool was still open during our stay.

Cons:

Our room was not clean. The new season had just started and I guess they forgot to give the room a quick clean. There was lots of dust and even a spider web. The rest of the days were fine. The room was clean and the housekeeper was very nice and friendly.

Fabulous stay - highly recommend
Pros:

My family and I had a fabulous stay at the Hilton Sorrento. Excellent service, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. The pianist at breakfast was really lovely.
The restaurant and bar staff were fantastic. Honestly, we could not fault this hotel.
The view from the bar and restaurants is so special.

Lovely hotel with a few things to improve to make it special

Great breakfast, really nice staff, housekeepers

Cons:

Both pools were closed and the garden exit to town also closed. We should have been notified about this prior to arrival as we were traveling with older person and garden entrance to avoid part of hill would be nice. Restaurant by lobby was not a good experience for price - order confused, food not good, overpriced
