This hotel was a wonderful way to relax in Sorrento. Whoever designed this hotel deserves high praise for providing thoughtful touches in the room, including the use of a clothes steamer! The view was also amazing!! We were on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful view of Mt Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. We enjoyed sitting out one the balcony although we noticed the Wi-Fi was a bit slow and glitchy at times. Our room was large with a great bathroom. It was nice to have the extra counter space for makeup and toiletries. It was easy for 2 of us to get ready at the same time. As diamond members we were upgraded to a sea view room which was greatly appreciated. Since it was also our 49th wedding anniversary the hotel had chilled champagne and a small, delicious cake for us.. Thank you so much Hilton!!
Breakfast was really nice and was offered in both the restaurant and the Executive Lounge on the 2nd floor. The view from each place was beautiful! The executive lounge had both hot and cold good during Happy hour. We did not eat breakfast in the lounge since the breakfast buffet at the restaurant was amazing! The variety of food provided by the restaurant was great with an omelet station available as well. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant on the top floor. The restaurant itself was beautiful and the food was really good with a little "Italian" spin.
The walk into town took only 10 minutes down a hill. Walking back up after a full day of sightseeing on a couple of days was a bit of a challenge. We were so tired we didn't feel like walking back into town for dinner and liked being able to just stay at the hotel for dinner.
We highly recommend this hotel!
We booked a Superior triple room with sea view but were given a tiny double room with what at best can be described as a large luggage rack under the TV but with a seat pad on to make it look like a settee. We refused the room and were moved into a larger superior double after being told they were fully booked and had nothing else. At best this room only had a side sea view. We paid at least €200 extra for our stay which hasn’t been refunded.
Great location to access the ferry for other coastal towns
Not much, as I did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. I was mostly out and about during my stay.
It was beautiful hotel with great views of the sea. All of the facilities and grounds were fabulous. We loved this hotel. The staff was exceptional, breakfast was great.
I liked everything
Great hotel, excellent location, excellent breakfast, excellent resturants.
Cold water in the indoor pool
We were very happy with your stay at the Hilton Sorrento. It’s a large hotel and had a bit of a corporate feel to it. Having said that, they strive to provide luxury touches through out! Excellent front desk and concierge service. Turn down service, best and most comprehensive breakfast we had in Europe, and gorgeous outdoor pool!
Don’t forget to check out the rooftop bar with more views and a DJ.
Our room also had an absolute stunning view and unlike most rooms in Europe had plenty of space to unpack. Like others have mentioned, it’s a 10 minute walk to center of town and/ or train station. We actually enjoyed that walk. (Make sure you look for the pedestrian cut off)
Would absolutely stay here again!
All in this hotel is beautiful

The Hotel is in an elevated position with beautiful views of vesuvius and the bay of Naples. A 15 minute steep walk to and from the town centre which we enjoyed but could be challenging for those less able. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are quite stark but incredibly clean. Our balcony view was delightful of the bay and orange & lemon grove, rooms are quiet with very comfy beds and a nice balcony. There are several things that set this hotel as 4* for me as they are very much expected with a 5* rating: No bathrobes, no gratis toiletries other than wall hanging soap (not 5*), no daily free water, no coffee machine in the room, no turndown service, no spa on site. It does also feel a bit like a business hotel in a way, partially due to it's size, but the staff more than make up for that with their kindness and friendliness. There was also a lot of confusion about the pool - we had lovely weather but the outside pool was shut! People were lying in the sun but not allowed in the pool, a lady came around to advise that we couldn't go in as the pool hadn't been treated, after another hour a lady complained and suddenly (without any treatment?) it was opened, on another day the outside pool was shut so my daughter wanted to swim in the indoor pool - both shut! After speaking at reception they opened the indoor pool, it was another lovely day so why was the outdoor pool not open? All very confusing. However my ultimate praise has to be to the restaurant staff - our stay was made so special by them all, they were fantastic, attentive, engaging and caring. My daughter is coeliac and also has some nut allergies, we ate in the restaurant every day as they took so much care that her food was right for her, and for no cross contamination, the chef even rustled up a special pasta dish one evening. The food was also delicious, interesting and very good value. Thank you to everyone, every single member of the team, you absolutely made our stay with your kindness💕 my daughter will definitely return again. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly if you have dietary issues, they understand and care. Thank you to everyone who took looked after us, we had a fabulous stay.
La struttura molto bella
Stanze rumorose si sentiva tutto quello che dicevano i vicini che non hanno mai smesso di parlare, il sifone della doccia aveva dei capelli attaccati, i letti erano 2 singoli diventati matrimoniale scomodissimi.

Great hotel in a great location in Sorrento- walking distance to the centre & train station. The pool area was great - plenty of chairs, with towels supplied & pool food/drinks service & the the pool itself was amazing. Breakfast was excellent - great selection to suit all. The views from the breakfast room were spectacular- looking across to Vesuvius. The bedroom was spacious with a great balcony. Lighting was great. A good hairdryer with plugs beside mirror was a great advantage. Lovely staff & and overall great hotel - would highly recommend.
Nothing.
The hotel's name is also an accurate description of the property. The place really is a palace. From the spacious lobby to the beautiful artwork on the walls, the spacious rooms, the friendly and professional staff (especially the bellmen), the fresh squeezed orange juice at the massive breakfast buffet and the amazing rooftop restaurant, everything about it is first class.
But the real star of the show, the thing that sets the Hilton Sorrento Palace apart, is the million dollar view of the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the rooftops of Sorrento from the terrace of a sea view room.
The only disappointment about our stay there is that we had only three days to enjoy all the wonderful amenities. My wife and I are already planning a return for our next stay!
Stayed 2 nights, May 2&3. Hotel was exceptional. Clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of space in room. The grounds and pools were beautiful. The staff were so helpful and polite. Buffet style breakfast was great, lots of choices. Definitely would return!! Ciao!
