the room was spacious, very comfortable beds, super clean bathroom and quality towels, shampoo etc. If our room was with seaview I'm sure it would be amazing too, the location is amazing for views. What comes with the great views of course is that you have to walk about 15 mins solid uphill to get to this hotel after the historic centre.
nothing
Stayed 2 nights, May 2&3. Hotel was exceptional. Clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of space in room. The grounds and pools were beautiful. The staff were so helpful and polite. Buffet style breakfast was great, lots of choices. Definitely would return!! Ciao!
Breakfast was outstanding, best one we had win our stay in Italy.
The wonderful and supportive staff were outstanding.
Great view from the terrace.
Space of the room amd facilities.
Loved the lobby evening piano was amazing.
The size of the shower top is so tight and the water was not warm enough.
The cloaing of the pools indoor and outdoor area at 6 pm was too early. If it can be extended to at least 8 pm that would be better to at least just stay around.
El desayuno espectacular. Y el hotel muy muy lindo y comodo.
A wonderful breakfast and very helpful staff when needed.
Location magnificent, room was beautiful def get an ocean view room, breakfast was sensational. I would have given 5 stars EXCEPT for upon check in lady asked us if we wanted a recommendation for dinner we said yes she received a seafood place on the water with complimentary shuttle bus we immediately said yes and she said leave it with me and I’ll make a reservation for you. The restaurant was awful no seafood on the menu my pork chop was dried out burnt and had a handful of thins crisp on the plate it had no water views from any tables either she or the hotel is getting kick backs for getting guests to dine there.
If the hotel wants feedback the outdoor pool could be heated and a spa outside would be amazing
All in all we would def stay here again
The view is spectacular and the location is good. The walk to town is fine. Breakfast buffet was very basic - not a great selection, the limited hot food was often cold. Served in very small dishes so you always felt you’re taking the last thing! Pastries were very dull. We thought just a lack of effort by the hotel to make it special. Self serve coffee, no Prosecco, very ordinary.
Rooms - we had the larger room which was a great space, but the furniture in the room is cheap and ordinary. Balcony furniture was uncomfortable and didn’t match the other decor. Aircon stuck on one temperature and an extra bed in the room we didn’t ask for.
A lovely spacious hotel, but doesn’t feel very special or very Italian.
Drinks in the bar were expensive and small sized. Felt rip off - the bars were quiet. Much better value in The Royal hotel right on the coast.
The new bar on the rooftop was awful - drinks even pricier and tables not cleared.
Communal areas near bedrooms and staircases very utilitarian see photo
Enjoyed the location and the view, but would not recommend.
I've been to Sorrento a number of times. I normally stay on the water, but the hotels are just a fortune. This trip we decided to stay inland more and I was skeptical, but the Hilton didn't disappoint. The hotel is perched on a hill so you still get amazing views of the water from a distance. I would get the Seaview facing rooms - they are worth it. The Balconies are great. The rooms are huge for Europe (haha). The staff and service was excellent. The ground are pretty large, I loved the lemon garden. I honestly have no complaints. I am actually going back in September again for my wedding! Something to note, there's about a 10-15min walk to the center of town which is slightly up/down hill. If you are healthy and fit you will have no issues, great exercise! Otherwise, this is something you may want to take into consideration.
colazione favolosa
Loved this hotel
Every thing , food and drink a bit expensive
Nice location, 10 min walk to center.
Nice breakfast, clean rooms.
Been to many hotels, since its part of the job, but this hilton hotel suprissed with stingyness!
Not even one free bottle of water for gusts who are not hilton members. Even more suprise. Empty mini bar. Baby portions for 'ala carte' lunch.
Hilton for this price you could do so much better!! For sure not like your sister hotels!
Location
The Hilton Sorrento Palace trades heavily on the Hilton name and premium pricing, but the experience felt like a constant series of tourist traps.
Two of the three pools were closed during our stay, and the only one open ran from 9am to 5pm. Not exactly useful when most guests are out exploring during the day. Over three days, I didn’t see a single person using it.
We were also woken by construction noise at 6:30am, with scaffolding directly below our room and visible construction debris in the lift lobby (see photo). Not something you expect at this price point.
Then come the hidden extras. Bottled water in the room comes with a card explaining it’s free for some guests, but €3 for you. Want usable WiFi? You’ll need to join their Honours program for slow speeds, or pay more for anything reasonable. Fruit plates are priced like fine dining and come with automatic service fees on top.
Checkout was the final blow. Additional taxes and charges appeared that weren’t clearly reflected in the booking rate, along with a parking fee for a space we didn’t even use. Apparently it takes 36 hours for their accounts team to reverse it.
The view is genuinely great, but the room itself was average once you got past the construction mess.
Italy has its fair share of tourist “gotchas,” but you don’t expect them at this price point, especially from a global brand like Hilton.
