I felt pushed to accept a room and services which were not the best
Cons:

I didn't like the fact that my room was changed to a room with a handicapped friendly toilet with no shower partition or curtain. The excuse was that a big group had just left the hotel and it would take time to clean up the room

I also did not like the fact that there was a interconnecting door to my room 1002 and the occupant of the adjoining room watched TV all night and the sound carried through the door. Ideally it should have been soundproofed.

The billing for small items were slow with a result that I did not get receipts for payments made in cash.

We were 3 and the bedroom was only for 2 persons. Also the cleaning could be better for the money we pay.

The location was great.

My stay at The Lalit Delhi was disappointing, particularly when it came to communication and customer service.
Communication was lacking throughout my stay. When I needed directions, the staff were unable to provide clear or helpful guidance, which made getting around unnecessarily difficult.

The biggest issue was with my request for a late checkout. I specifically asked the front desk to add the late checkout to my booking, and the staff member entered it into the system in front of me. However, this information was apparently not communicated properly to the relevant staff. On the day of checkout, I was repeatedly questioned about the late checkout, despite having already arranged it with the front desk.

It was extremely frustrating to have to explain and defend something that I had already confirmed with the hotel. A hotel of this standard should have much better internal communication and coordination between staff.

The property itself may be impressive, but the lack of communication and the way the checkout situation was handled significantly affected my experience. I would expect much better customer service from a hotel of this reputation.

Cons:

They charged for a no show even though I was there. For some reason the card wasn't debited so we had to rebook on another card.
