Wonderful pool area. Beautiful hotel, luxuriously appointed. Huge bedrooms and very comfy rooms. Delightful petit fours provided with the turn-down service.
Almost all the staff were wonderful. Professional, attentive and polite. However the lady on reception was rude and bullying to other members of staff which was uncomfortable to see.
We loved our stay at Taj Mahal. Without a doubt, it is one of the most exceptional hotels we have ever stayed at. We were greeted and treated with care and hospitality that was above and beyond, which made our stay even more special. The only regret is that we stayed for 3 nights only and had full and busy days so didn't have more opportunity to enjoy our stay at the hotel. I have to add that service at the breakfast and atmosphere is just fenomenal.
Nothing
Wonderful property. Staff were very courteous.
Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Traditions Hotel der Extraklasse
Hat alles gepasst
The upgrade - unasked for, and thank you Karan, you uplifted our vacation to a new height. We postponed our return and extended our stay.
The club room with the balcony was luxurious in every way and we can’t wait to come back.
The pool was deliciously cool and long enough for proper laps. The change rooms are clean and adequate. The hot tub and jacuzzi was my son’s delight.
Breakfast was not crowded or rushed and all the dishes were well prepared.
Traipsing across the reception after a swim. One has to change at the pool, in order to be decent while returning to the room.
Taj Hotel, New Delhi – A Homecoming After Four Decades
My relationship with the Taj Hotel, New Delhi began in 1983. Over the years, this iconic property has been more than just a hotel—it has been a second home, a place where tradition, elegance, and heartfelt hospitality converge. Returning after the long hiatus enforced by COVID was not merely a stay; it was a deeply emotional homecoming.
Arrival & Concierge Excellence
From the very first moment, the Concierge team led by Ajith Vasu demonstrated the hallmark of Taj hospitality: anticipation of every need, flawless execution, and genuine warmth. The brilliant Concierge support ensured that every detail of our arrival and onward arrangements was seamless. The team’s professionalism and personal touch reminded me why the Taj has always been my trusted haven in Delhi.
Club Floor & Housekeeping
The Club Floor, under the attentive care of Mohit Mathur, offered an experience that was both luxurious and comforting. The rooms were exceptionally maintained, reflecting the meticulous standards of Laxminarayan and the entire Concierge and Club Floor team, including Housekeeping. Every corner of the room spoke of care, precision, and pride in service.
Evenings at the Club Lounge were memorable—beers and starters served with effortless grace created a convivial atmosphere that perfectly balanced relaxation and refinement.
Front Office & Seamless Comfort
A special note of gratitude to Shajahan (Shaji), the Front Office Manager, whose thoughtful handling of our bookings and stay made everything extremely comfortable. His attention to detail and proactive support ensured that our return felt effortless, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the Taj experience.
Culinary Excellence
The food quality, variety, and service were exceptional. The breakfast spread was a masterpiece of culinary diversity:
• Perfectly customized omelettes and scrambled eggs prepared to individual preference.
• Smoked salmon of the finest quality, elegantly presented.
• A touch of home with piping hot sambar, idlis, and medu vadas, each dish authentic and flavorful.
This blend of international sophistication and traditional Indian comfort exemplifies the Taj’s ability to cater to every palate with finesse.
The Spirit of Taj Hospitality
What sets the Taj apart is not just its grandeur, but the people who embody its spirit. Every interaction—from the Concierge desk to the Club Lounge, from Housekeeping to the Front Office—was marked by attentiveness, warmth, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home.
After decades of visits, this return reaffirmed why the Taj Hotel, New Delhi remains unmatched. It is not merely a hotel, but a sanctuary of tradition, elegance, and exemplary customer service.
Closing Reflection
In 1983, I first experienced the Taj’s magic. In 2026, after the long pause of COVID, I rediscovered it with renewed appreciation. The Taj Hotel, New Delhi continues to set the gold standard for hospitality, and my heartfelt gratitude goes to Ajith Vasu, Mohit Mathur, Laxminarayan and their teams, Shajahan (Shaji), and every member of the staff who made this stay a true homecoming.
