use to be a good hotel
Pros:

have stayed there many time,s but this time i was put in a room, which could have belonged to a 2 star hotel, in terms of quality and cleanliness. I never knew this beautiful hotel had such strange rooms too. They were booked for a show, so did not have any rooms, last night of my stay they gave me a free upgradation, but i paid for the 1st three days too. its a heritage property, but still they really need to improve in terms of fraying furniture

Toujours aussi plaisant
Pros:

Un petit-déjeuner complet, varié. L'ensemble du personnel a été très accueillant, disponible et serviable. Une mention particulière pour Margaret (housekeeper), Kavitha (cook) qui m'a donné un nombre conséquent de bonnes adresses à visiter à Calcutta, Bajrang le chauffeur que j'ai eu par hasard à l'aller et au retour à l'aéroport, Puja & Saloni avec qui j'ai pu discuter un long moment dans l'ambiance chaleureuse du lobby.

Staff is friendly and accomodating.

Cons:

The air conditioning failed most of the time with the rooms being extremely stuffy and uncomfortable. The rooms also smelled or smoke despite being non smoking with no ventilation available for fresh air. Atmosphere within room needs to be better. Facilities feel old.
