The bath rain was completed blocked, not just slow draining, making it impossible for us to clean up properly until late that night, and we only managed to finish washing in the early hours. The blind feel down with a loud noise in the middle of the night and fully woke us up. After that, we were unable to fall back asleep at all, long before sunrise. Combined with the earlier trouble caused by the clocked drain, we genuinely got no sleep at all throughout the night. This directly led to extreme exhaustion and forced us to cancel our entire trip.
The manager only offered us a complimentary night which is not acceptable for us based on this unpleasant stay and we lose the faith to stay in the hotel again. However, we would understand if it is written as a official company protocol that only a complimentary night can be offered, then it's just a hotel management thing. However, in our phone call with manager, he specifically said there is no protocol and any decision is 100% subjectively made by the manager. He also refused to negotiate any solutions, basically telling me to accept it or go away. This makes things really aweful!!!

Reception always friendly on my departure I had the best service with receptionist helping out for future bookings and helped to a complete my needs .

The breakfast was nice
Didn’t appreciate needing to pay $200 bond after I had already paid for accomodation. Normally a credit card on file is enough at most hotels.
In addition, the first room we were out in had a broken blind and was very worn and tired looking. Kindly the staff moved us to a better room, though will say there were marks on the wall etc.
Also there was a loud party at 4.30am in one of the rooms m, which took about an hour to settle. Fairly disappointing, was looking forward to a nice relaxing night away and didn’t realise it was the kind of hotel that allowed loud music and partying at early hours of the morning
Well-run hotel in a good location in Newcastle with free parking
The staff (particularly Rachael and Bella) were incredibly accomodating and friendly.
The location was great, room clean and beds comfortable. If I’m back in Newcastle area, this is where I’ll stay
