Best Hotel I Ever Stayed In
Pros:

This was probably our best experience in a hotel ever. The Hotel Albatroz is located directly on the beach on the coast of Portugal just north of Lisbon. We stayed in the old house section. The old world charm, the service, the food, the pool, with the view over the rocks and the beach, everything was divine. Every member of the staff was kind, helpful, and professional.

Our room had a little stone balcony with chairs where we could sit every day and look out over the ocean, while having a glass of Port provided in our room for free. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed. Everything was considered. Every need was provided for—from the nice robes and slippers, beach bag and towels for swimming, evening turn down, to the 24 hour service. We were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the town, walking out each day and evening on the lovely tiled streets to dine on delicious seafood. Also, we had dinner in their lovely restaurant. looking out on the ocean and I would say it was equal to a Michelin star restaurant in the presentation and service that we received.

It is about a two minute walk to the train station so we were able to leave with our suit cases on our last day, and jump directly on a train to Lisbon. Which was only a few euros for a ticket.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough if it is within your price range. It was a little more than we usually budget for a hotel, but it was our first vacation in a long time and let me tell you it was worth every penny.

Superb Seaside Hotel in Cascais
Pros:

The Albatroz Hotel is in a lovely location by the beach and has gorgeous views of the sea from the breakfast terrace. We had a Suite with a Sea View on an upper floor. It was spacious and had a separate sitting room. The staff brought us a power strip to plug in our electronics, since there were no extra plugs by the bedside. The breakfast buffet was very good with made to order omelets and a great selection.

We walked along the promenade from Cascais toward Estoril and also walked down Rua Frederico Arouca to the marina waterfront area and on to the Santa Marta Lighthouse and the sea caves at Boca do Inferno. It was a beautiful walk along the Atlantic coast.

The Albatroz Hotel is an elegant choice for a relaxing stay with Portuguese decor.

Great small high quality hotel in a good spot for a short spring break
Pros:

We have just returned from a great 5 day break at Albatroz. Really great hotel with outstanding service from all the staff. They all had a friendly and helpful attitude. Could not do enough for us!. The breakfasts were very good with a wide selection of food of a high quality. Enjoyed the patio around the pool -could do with a few more loungers although we were there early in the season. The location is enviable with great views and east access to the town and the beach. I dont give many 5 star reviews but Albatroz deserves all the accolades
