Old world charm with modern room amenities
Pros:

Great location in Sydney’s CBD. Walking distance to Hyde Park, the Domain, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Nice old fashioned hotel with modern creature comforts but some old world charm. Wifi was fabulous, seamless. Continental breakfast was great. Room contained nice large TV, small fridge (to chill my drinks before heading out walking) as well as kettle and hairdryer. Small writing table was also useful for some work tasks in the evening. Very comfortable bed.

Fab location, FOH staff need more training.
Pros:

Location fantastic! Very central to everything, plenty of restaurants and shops around. Room spacious, bed large, quite quiet. Bathroom a little dated but clean and nice toiletries. The lobby and bar had good atmosphere.

Cons:

So much potential at this place. The front desk staff let it down. No info about the facilities, check out, luggage, etc. Everything just seemed like a bother, or they were stressed or uninterested. Your front of house need to be friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. House-keeping staff were very nice.

Average. Expected more for the price we paid.
Pros:

Great location. Our room size was fine and bed comfortable, but the bathroom was extremely old style - like old public toilets/nurses quarters from the 60's. Quite basic set up and vibe for the price.

Cons:

Bathroom facilities in our room were average. Staff serving at the downstairs bar extremely slow, and restaurant did not deal well with dietary needs (required all people with dietary needs to sit together - which did not suit the group with couples etc). Also, staff offered us 'discounted' parking for $60 if we paid for our private secure parking at the hotel directly and they could verify it for us. When thought that sounded steep so decided to just pay directly at the parking gate. It ended up only costing $40. Disappointed at the supposed advertised 'discounted rate' the hotel was trying to sell.

Our stay was average I would of liked a window whilst up on the 9th floor
Pros:

The lobby and dining room/ seating areas were lovely the location was fairly good a twenty minute walk to the quay.

Cons:

We felt that the actual rooms were in need of an update and a bit of TLC

Pros:

Compared to others around it was priced well, but you pay for what you get.

Cons:

Rooms nothing like the pictures, takes a out 6-8 minutes for hot water to come out in the shower but yet instant at the basin, and then really hard to control.

It is a value for money hotel, and if its for a quick overnight stay to rest your head, you might not care so much about the small things.
