i like the place a lot BUT the breakfast was a big let down

Nice Place love the old building in what it turned into for a hotel good for some one that love that kind of Hotel but room very small to what use to

I walked in to have breakfast and was a very big dis appointment of the hold trip my i could have gotten the same down the road but a much better breakfast

Cons:

At check in would not accept credit card via Apple Wallet- insisted on a physical CC. Why would I carry a physical CC when these days you can carry all your cards on your phone. Staff was rude and essentially refused to find another option. In the end had to use one of my wife's CC's which were linked to business accounts and we would rather not have used for a social reason.

In this day and age this is woeful and I would not stay again

Looking forward to returning
Pros:

Beautiful art deco style, true to period. Exceptional, helpful staff. Excellent central position with quality Cafe nearby. Very short walk to transport, or shopping in centre of City, ot stroll to Art museum, Domain or botanical gardens

It was totally enjoyable; all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room cleaning ladies were just so lovely.
Pros:

It was a cosy room but had all I needed. It was spotless and the bathroom was well equipped.
Have a washing machine and dryer available really helped. The main area downstairs was beautiful.

Cons:

I had no complaints. I only had trouble working out the ‘streaming’ onto TV. Gave up.

Convenient location good for short stay
Pros:

Great location. Most staff friendly and helpful. For a city center hotel good value for money.

Cons:

Room was a bit cramped and tired, but fine for a few nights. Hotel is an older property and whilst it has some splendid dining rooms the bedrooms are a compromise. We had one poor experience with a member of staff but most were friendly and helpful.
